Wij hebben de berlin welcomecard vooral gebruikt om met het openbaar vervoer te reizen. Heel fijn dat je op deze manier onbeperkt gebruik kan maken van alle ov en niet steeds kaartjes hoeft te kopen. Dat je korting kunt krijgen op musea en andere attracties trok mij ook aan. Maar daar achteraf geen gebruik van gemaakt. Bij het kopen van de Berlin welcomecard vond ik de bijgevoegde informatie een beetje onduidelijk. Zoals er komt nog een mail met tickets. Deze zaten al in de headout app. En voor openbaar vervoer printen in a4 formaat. Voor 1e ritje eerst valideren. A4 past niet in valideerautomaat. En ik had de kaart voor 3 dagen waarbij de datum van begin tot eind met tijdstippen er al opstonden. Dit zorgde voor enige verwarring. Maar ik raad de kaart zeker aan.

Gewoon uitprinten en meenemen op je reis. Super makkelijk. Ik kan het aanbevelen.

We hebben de welcomecard alleen gebruikt om ons met het openbaar vervoer doorheen Berlijn te verplaatsen, wat super vlot verliep. We gingen voor een wandeltocht van 2 uur door het Derde Rijk en de koude oorlog in Berlijn, in de namiddag deden we een boottocht op de Spree en zagen we de stad van de andere kant en 's avonds genoten we van een concert in de Uber Arena. Het openbaar vervoer in Berlijn is top en makkelijk om je vlot te verplaatsen doorheen de stad en de rand.

The main issue was transport strike 27-29.02.2026. We were not able to use transport in Berlin, that broke our plans during 1day of staying in Berlin 27.02 and way to BER on 28.02

Validity:

The validity of online tickets is based on the date (and time, for the 48-hour and 72-hour variants) specified on the ticket. The 4/5/6-day tickets expire at midnight on the final day of their validity.

The 4/5/6-day cards are valid depending on the calendar days you select. If you’ve opted for a 4-day card and you use the ticket at any time on Wednesday, then the Berlin WelcomeCard and public transport ticket are valid until midnight on Saturday.

The 48/72-hour tickets are valid for exactly 48/72 hours from the time selected during booking. For example, if you’ve picked the 72-hour card and selected your time slot as 8:30am on Monday, it will be valid until 8:29am on the following Thursday.

Additional Information

Children between the ages of 6 and 14 can travel free on an adult’s ticket (3 kids per adult ticket). Any number of children below 6 years of age can travel on public transport for free.

The Berlin WelcomeCard is valid during the period indicated on the ticket and must be displayed as an A4 printout.

The Berlin Brandenburg (BER) airport, as well as the city of Potsdam, are in the tariff area C. The tariff zones A and B cover the Berlin city area. So if you need to get to the airport or Potsdam, purchase the Berlin WelcomeCard Zone ABC. An extension of the Berlin WelcomeCard AB with a connecting ticket C is not possible.

Each attraction or landmark can be visited only once with this card.

You will receive an email with your Berlin Welcome Card shortly.

Bring a valid photo ID proof for verification.

The Berlin WelcomeCard as an online ticket is valid during the period indicated on the ticket.

Ticket needs to be carried as a A4 printout.
