We visited Park Güell with our family and it completely exceeded our expectations. Gaudí's vision comes to life here in the most whimsical way — the mosaic-covered benches, the famous salamander sculpture, and the gingerbread-house-style pavilions at the entrance made for incredible photos with the kids. The Monumental Zone (the paid area) is where the real magic happens — the Nature Square terrace offers one of the best panoramic views of Barcelona, and the colonnaded hall underneath feels like something out of a fairy tale. Even outside the paid section, the park itself is huge and free to explore, with shaded paths and green spaces perfect for a family stroll. A few tips for other families: Book tickets online in advance — time slots fill up fast, especially in summer. Go early morning to avoid both the heat and the crowds. Wear comfortable shoes, as there are hills and stairs throughout the park. Bring water, since there's not much shade on the upper terraces. Overall, it was a highlight of our Barcelona trip. A must-see for anyone visiting the city, whether you're into architecture, photography, or just want a beautiful place to relax with the family.

My experience visiting Park Güell and Casa Batlló was unforgettable. Both places showcase Antoni Gaudí’s incredible creativity and attention to detail in completely different ways. Park Güell offers stunning panoramic views of Barcelona, vibrant mosaics, and a unique atmosphere that feels almost magical. Casa Batlló is equally impressive, with its flowing architecture, fascinating history, and immersive exhibits that bring Gaudí’s vision to life. The entire experience was well organized, and I appreciated how easy it was to explore at my own pace. If you’re visiting Barcelona, I highly recommend seeing both attractions—they perfectly capture the city’s artistic spirit and are absolutely worth the visit.

Visiting Park Güell was one of the highlights of our trip to Barcelona. The ticket process with Headout was quick and straightforward, and everything worked perfectly at the entrance. The park and the guide was just perfect. But the entry ticket system and the staff by phone was unfortunately not the same. I both ticket whit guide and I arrived 5 minutes later due to traffic issues. The staff by phone told me that it the guide needed to go in to the park without us I would loose my tickets. And if I would like to enter to the park without guide I shloud pay another new tickets. It's just a unfair way to run business in my opinion.

I visited Barcelona and Gaudí’s Park for the first time. I was filled with emotion. Walking among the columns and admiring the mosaic ceiling, I felt as if I had been transported back in time. The viewing terrace and the spectacular panoramic view of the city from this spot are truly amazing. And of course, the beautiful staircase we see right at the entrance to the park. These memories will definitely stay with me for a long time.

My partner and I enjoyed strolling down the hill from the top of Parc Güell, coming across the different enchanting houses created by Gaudialong the way. The views were spectacular of Barcelona. When we came upon the bottom of the hillside, we were taken aback by all the wonderful structural Creations Gaudi had produced in the park.

Park Güell stands as one of Antoni Gaudí’s most celebrated works, designed in the early 20th century and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This public park showcases Gaudí’s signature style, merging natural forms with vibrant mosaics and innovative structures.

Hypostyle Hall: Explore this columned space, originally intended as a marketplace, featuring 86 Doric columns and a ceiling adorned with colorful mosaic medallions.

Plaça de la Natura (Greek Theater): Visit the park’s central terrace, bordered by a serpentine bench covered in trencadís mosaic, offering sweeping views over Barcelona.

Dragon Stairway: Admire the iconic mosaic salamander, known as “El Drac,” which greets visitors at the main entrance and has become a symbol of the park.

What to bring

Wear comfortable walking shoes as this experience involves a fair amount of walking on uneven paths and multiple stairways.

During the summer months, it is recommended to bring hats/caps to protect from the sun, and water for hydration due to high temperatures.

Accessibility

For visitors with mobility problems, Park Güell offers two free wheelchairs for hire (subject to availability).

The tourist coach car park has three places for people with reduced mobility.

Additional information

During peak season, April to August, expect a considerable wait time at entry.

Note: Park Güell has three entrances—choose what suits you! Av. del Santuari de Sant Josep de la Muntanya has escalators (though it’s steep), Carretera del Carmel (nº 23) is ideal for coach drop-off, and Carrer d’Olot brings you right into the Monumental Zone.

If you'd like to skip a lot of climbing and stairs, a great option is to take public transport like Bus #24 or grab a taxi. This will get you to the entrance at Carretera del Carmel, which is just a short 100 meters from the bus stop. You'll find the area with the monuments only another 100 meters in, and mostly flat 200-meter stroll!

Children under 6 can enter for free, they just need free tickets. For a seamless entry, book their free tickets during checkout.

Guests are allowed to bring outside food and water into the venue. However, they must consume it in the designated picnic areas only.

The audio guide is available on the Headout app. Instructions to download will be shared with your ticket, and you can also access them offline. Do bring your own headphones.
