Truly outstanding organization! We were picked up at the pre-arranged meeting point on time in an exclusive, private minivan that took us straight to the salt mine, half an hour away from Krakow. Once we arrived we already had our ticket in hand for the first guided tour in Italian, which came within 40 minutes of our arrival. In the meantime we took a few tours of the local stores and had lunch. The guided tour lasted about 2 hours, once we left we were picked up again by the same minivan and driven back to Krakow to the same starting point. All super excellent! Thank you!

This walking tour in Wieliczka was the absolute highlight of my vacation in Poland. We walked thru the beautiful salt mine and was taken through inside gorgeous gems of mine. I especially liked areas with authentic equipment. Our guide, was highly knowledgeable with an undertone of humour, which kept us in high spirts throughout the 3 hour long walk. She was such a delight. Loved her jokes and anecdotes. Such an amazing experience overall. Highly recommended.

The only negative was the skip-the-line ticket, because you actually have to wait in line and it's not a small one either.... The guide explained the whole history of the mine well, making us stop for photos and answering questions. The salt sculptures are spectacular. There are other rooms, not viewable to tourists, but I think the tour was quite complete. You go up to the surface by a really fast service elevator.
    • Skip the ticket lines to enter the Wieliczka Salt Mine with an expert guide to explore a vast underground world made entirely of salt.

    • Walk through the UNESCO-listed site’s 20+ chambers and learn about salt extraction methods and the mine’s 700-year-old history.

    • At St. Kinga’s Chapel, see towering salt crystal chandeliers, carvings of scenes from the New Testament, and Da Vinci’s Last Supper made of salt.

    • Your multilingual guide will tell you how “white gold” from the Wieliczka Salt Mine shaped Poland’s history, funding royal projects and military campaigns.

    • Fun fact: The salty air acts as a natural preservative for mining tools and artifacts as the high salinity of the underground environment prevents rust and decay.

Very interesting experience, worth seeing for everyone, liked by adults and children, very interesting feeling when you are 130 meters underground. It's just a pity that there is no possibility to get your money back, for example if you buy the wrong amount of tickets (it happened to us that we bought 1 more adult ticket and it is not refundable, still it is not cheap, this option could be available)

  • Meet your tour guide at your designated meeting point. Then begin your journey by descending 135 meters below the surface to enter a world shaped out of salt.

    Uncover a salt wonderland

With 800 stairs descending 327 meters, the Wieliczka Salt Mine is a one-of-a-kind subterranean realm. Its nearly 3 km of maze-like galleries are steeped in secrets and legends. Bypass long queues and embark on a guided tour to discover beautiful chambers and sculptures carved entirely out of salt and saline lakes, the likes of which cannot be found aboveground. Gain interesting insights into the methods of salt extraction, old mining tools and machines, and means of transport from your expert guide.

    Underground artistry

Don’t miss out on St Kinga’s Chapel, adorned with salt sculptures and reliefs that were crafted by miners in the 1700s. The glowing crystal chandeliers shine a light on the chapel’s stunning beauty. As you walk through, spot a sculpture of Pope John Paul II and a relief of Da Vinci’s Last Supper, made entirely of salt.

    From depths to daylight

As the tour comes to an end, explore the largest chamber of the mine that hosts balls and sporting events. Then, purchase mementos from the souvenir shop and ride a real mining cart back to the surface.
