Visiting Kyoto is a trip back to ancient times, offering a selection of Kyoto's 1,600 historical Buddhist temples, some dating back more than a millennium, and can be found in Higashiyama, one of the oldest and most famous temple districts in the world.

Myshin-ji is one of the chief Rinzai Zen branch temples in Kyoto, containing 46 sub-temples dedicated to zazen meditation. Located at the main gate of the Rinzai Zen branch, it has a magnificent ink dragon painting in the Hatt Hall and shukub (temple lodging) facilities. As you walk around the paths of the temple, come across countless sub-temples, some of which are open to the public and have treasures and special points, while others are closed off or only open for special occasions.

On your tour, visit the Taizo-in Zen Buddhist Temple, followed by the Myoshinji Temple, which has remained for over 600 years. See the dry landscape garden, scenic beauty of the temple, and Zen painting of "Catching a Catfish with a Gourd", also known as "Hyonenzu". Not just this, watch the beautiful "Yoko-en", a Japanese botanical pond garden with Suikinkutsu. Also, have a taste of Kyoto cuisine at Hanagokoro and get an authentic rich taste of ancient culture.
