Walking Tours in Caserta

Big, grand, but also a bit overwhelming. There’s just SO much to see. My husband and I split up halfway because he wanted to see the art and I wanted to chill by the fountains. Both happy in the end!

My parents dragged me here but actually, I liked it more than I thought. The rooms are SUPER detailed, and the fountains outside were a good break from the crowds. Staff was nice.

Massive palace, lots to see. Some rooms were closed for works but we still spent hours exploring. Staff were helpful when we got lost. Gardens are the real highlight.

Went with my dad on a random Thursday. The palace is ENORMOUS, like you think you’ve seen a big hallway but then boom—another one, even fancier. I kept losing track of how many painted ceilings I’d seen. Bit of advice: bring water. I didn’t and was regreting it by room #7. Staff were chill, but didn’t speak much English, so we just sort of nodded at each other. The fountains outside are worth the walk (yes, it’s a trek, but it’s pretty and there’s shade sometimes). My dad loved the old statues, I was obsessed with the floor tiles. Didn’t get to see everything because my feet gave up. Def wanna come back for the gardens alone.

What a place! The staff was super friendly to my kids, even pointed out the best spot to see turtles. Palace is impressive but the gardens were our favorite.

Visited on a hot day—inside was stuffy but still worth it for the art. Gardens are massive, bring water. Staff were helpful when we asked about the shuttle.
