Jun 20264/5ok so i'm not usually someone who writes reviews but this place genuinely moved me. you cross the water by boat first and then walk through these rock passages and the colour of the water is just insane, photos do not capture it at all. our guide Dmitry was full of energy the entire day, very encouraging especially when some people in the group were nervous about the swimming. the hidden cave with the waterfall at the end - i cant explain it, you just have to go. one of those days that reminds you why you travelJun 20264/5if you're going to oman you absolutely have to do this. we went with Rachid as guide and he was fantastic - kept 10 of us safe and at a good pace the whole time. it was ramadan so lunch was in the van which sounds odd but was actually a nice hot meal, no complaints. bring proper water shoes with grip, the rocks can be slippery in the water sections, i can't stress this enough. the wadi is the main event, the sinkhole is nice for a leg stretch but wouldn't be worth the trip on its ownJun 20265/5honestly so much better than i expected. Mohammed was our guide and he was brilliant - really looked after everyone in the group and you could tell he genuinely cared. we parked our car at the meeting point for free which i didnt know was possible so that was a nice surprise. the only thing id say is maybe mention upfront that you can hire water shoes at the site, we found out when we got there which was fine but wouldve been useful to know. overall a really really good dayJun 20265/5i want to be honest - i was quite scared before this, i'm not a great swimmer and the cave part sounded intense. but the guide was so reassuring and patient, there was no pressure at all. the hiking sections are beautiful and the pools feel incredible after walking in the heat. cave is dark and a bit tight but the guide helps you through and the waterfall at the end is SO worth it. already telling everyone i know to do thisJun 20264/5Abdullah was an absolutely fantastic guide. Was on time, explained the whole day clearly at the start, and stayed patient with everyone throughout even when a few people were slow on the hike back. He knew so much about the area and explained things in a way that was actually interesting rather than just facts being read off a list. If you can request a specific guide ask for Abdullah, he made the day
