Walk through the gardens of the 18th-century Villa del Balbianello, a masterful combination of natural beauty and landscaping. Perched on a hillside that descends towards Lake Como, the park features a mix of architectural elements such as staircases, terraces, and fountains, as well as a variety of ornamental plants and trees. One of the most stunning features of the garden is the terraced layout, which offers sweeping views of the lake and mountains. The terraces are adorned with perfectly manicured lawns, blooming flowers, and trimmed hedges, creating a symmetrical and harmonious visual effect. From the terraces, visitors can descend to the lakeshore via the 'Lovers' Walk', a tree-lined path that leads through the garden.
Other notable elements of the garden include the 'Loggia Durini', a covered terrace that overlooks the lake and offers a cool, shaded spot to relax, as well as the 'Garden of Rhododendrons', a vibrant area filled with colorful blooms. The 'Rustic Temple', a small chapel located in the garden, is also a popular spot for weddings and events.
