Went solo and was a bit nervous, but honestly, this tour was everything I wanted out of Mexico City. Our guide (Itzel, I think?) was SO knowledgeable and honestly lowkey hilarious. The Xochimilco boats were a riot—music everywhere and people selling corn on the cob (tried it, YUM). Frida Kahlo’s house was super busy, but we got there early so lines weren’t too bad. Can’t take pics inside the Blue House which was a bummer, but still, the stories made up for it. I met two other solo travelers and we ended up grabbing tacos after. Def worth it if you want a chill but cultural day.

Did the tour with my partner—both of us history nerds, so we loved the background info. Traffic was kind of wild getting to Xochimilco, but our guide kept us entertained with stories and random facts. The trajineras are as colorful as everyone says, but a little crowded on weekends. Bring cash for snacks! Highlight for me was Coyoacan—felt like a totally different vibe, almost like a small town in the city. Lost a star cause we felt a bit rushed at Frida’s house, but that’s prob cause it’s so busy.

Our group of friends had an epic day out. The mariachi bands on the boats are LOUD but in a good way—def brings the party. Our guide, Luis, had endless patience for our jokes and questions. Also appreciated that he found us a shady spot for lunch because it was crazy hot. I wish we had a bit more time at the Frida Kahlo museum but honestly the whole day was a highlight reel. Highly recommend for groups!

We did this as a family (kids 8 and 11). Xochimilco was a hit—the kids loved feeding ducks off the side of the boat. The mariachi bands were a bit loud for the little one but still fun. Our guide gave us some fun stories about Frida and Diego. Only thing I’d change is maybe less time at the markets (kids got bored). Still, a great way to see a different side of the city.

I’m not usually a tour person but this one totally changed my mind. Our guide, Mariana, had so many quirky stories about the city and even shared some street food tips. Coyoacan was my FAV—felt like I stepped back in time. We lucked out with the weather, sunny but not too hot. Pro tip: try the churros from the little stand near the main square, sooo good.
