Went for the early morning tour and honestly, it was the best call ever. Me and my partner got to Chichen Itza before everyone else and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves (well, except a few other early birds). Our guide, Marco, was super chill and really knew his stuff—he even showed us a spot where if you clap, the pyramid echoes back, which was kind of wild. Only downside, it got HOT by like 10am so bring a hat and water. Oh and the bus was surprisingly comfy the whole way. Would 100% do again if I could.

Booked this for my solo trip. Was a little nervous about joining a group but everyone was suuuper friendly. Our guide (forgot his name, sorry!) switched between English and Spanish so everyone was included. Learned a TON about Mayan history, like way more than I expected. Only thing – snacks at the site are $$$, so maybe pack some. Totally worth the early alarm.

We did a family tour with two kids (ages 10 and 13). Kids loved the stories about the ancient ball games, but got a bit bored at the end. Guide was patient and made the info fun though! It was a bit crowded by noon, so I’d say go early if you can. FYI, no drones allowed—my son was bummed about that.

Epic day! Our guide, Lalo, was so passionate, he made the stones feel alive (lol). Bus ride was long but AC worked fine. Arriving early meant we got our shots without random people in the background. Warning: bathroom lines at the entrance are sooo long, so plan ahead.

Great experience overall. Tour guide was energetic and answered all our questions. Felt a bit rushed at times, but I guess that’s what you get with a group. Still, seeing the pyramid up close is something else. Bring sunscreen, you’ll need it.
