    Getting started

You arrive at the RoofClimb Centre at Adelaide Oval, greeted by the buzz of anticipation. After check-in, you’re fitted with a climbing suit, harness and receive a safety briefing. Your RoofClimb Leader makes sure everyone feels comfortable and ready before stepping out onto the stadium’s rooftop.

    What to expect

Harnessed securely, your group sets out across a purpose-built walkway above the Oval. Through your headset, your guide points out landmarks, the Adelaide Hills, Torrens River, the sparkling coastline, while weaving in stories of the stadium’s sporting triumphs and cultural legacy. At the lean-out point, you’re clipped in and invited to tip your body out over the Oval. The stadium drops away beneath you. It’s a heart-in-your-throat moment that’s somehow equal parts terrifying and exhilarating, and it’s the memory most climbers talk about long after they’ve come down.

    Features
    • Climb Adelaide Oval’s rooftop: Step onto purpose-built walkways high above the stands for an adventure few ever experience.

    • Breathtaking 360° panoramas: From the rolling Adelaide Hills to the shimmering coastline and the city skyline beneath your feet.

    • The lean-out thrill: Harness in, lean back into open air, and feel the rush of 50 metres of space between you and the pitch.

    • Three ways to see the city: Crystal-clear daytime views, golden sunsets that light up the horizon, or sparkling night climbs capped with a celebratory drink.

    • Stories stitched into the skyline: Hear insider commentary from local RoofClimb Leaders who bring Adelaide’s history, sport, and culture to life.

    • Souvenirs of achievement: Take home a RoofClimb cap, certificate, and complimentary photo pack to relive the moment long after you descend.

    Upgrades

Your climb feels completely different depending on the time you choose:

    • In daylight, the city sprawls out in crisp detail, with the sun glinting off the River Torrens and the Oval gleaming below.

    • At sunset, the horizon flares gold and pink as the lights of Adelaide flicker awake, making the skyline look almost cinematic.

    • By night, the Oval glows like a stage set under the floodlights, and you finish with a celebratory drink in the Climb Lounge as the city sparkles beneath you.
