A wonderful experience, even if the QR code doesn't quite work. The view doesn't match the display on the cell phone. However, VR glasses are highly recommended for the tower construction! But only if you don't get sick, which can happen.

I booked the VR glasses as a gimmick - out of curiosity - and have to say they over-exceeded my expectations. Going back in time and flying over the growing and developing town was pretty cool. Our whole group of seven internationals was pretty impressed. The VR show was almost better than the real deal. Being on top of the TV Tower is always worth a trip. I especially love it on clear days and during sunset. If you plan to go during peak season bring sufficient time and patience.

Anyone who has made it to Berlin should definitely visit the TV tower. Yes, the price of 27.50 euros without extras is not exactly a bargain. We had booked the ticket with Berlins Odyssey. It was worth it despite the fog and the high price. You only do it once in your life.

Everything was very well organized and we were able to book another ticket for our group on site without any problems. The process up to the top went quickly, and the TV tower is in a very nice, renovated condition. Absolutely recommendable and a must for Berlin visitors to see the city from a height of 280m. There is no time pressure, you can stay there as long as you like. Finally, we did VR, which was also highly recommended for the small extra charge.

I really liked it, the views were breathtaking, and the 3D glasses were quite interesting as they explain the history of how the events unfolded. I recommend it.

The waiter at the bar was extremely unfriendly! First, he spent a long time messing around with a colleague at the cash register, then he mixed himself a drink (very slowly), and then we were left standing at the bar without being served (or even asked what we wanted). That was on February 22, 2026, at around 7:30 p.m.!

  • Step into Berlin’s story through VR

Built in the 1960s by the German Democratic Republic (GDR), the 368-meter-high Berlin TV Tower is not only Germany’s tallest structure but also a symbol of the city’s complex past. With your VR ticket, begin your journey by diving into Berlin’s history before heading up to the iconic observation deck.

Travel through time in virtual reality

Put on your VR headset and explore nine centuries of Berlin’s evolution—brought to life with immersive 3D animation and 360° visuals. From medieval markets to modern reunification, this virtual tour gives context to the city you’ll soon see from above.

Take in real-world views from 207 meters

Once your VR journey ends, ride the high-speed elevator up to the observation deck. At 207 meters, you’ll get 360° panoramic views of Berlin’s skyline, including the Brandenburg Gate, Museum Island, and the Reichstag.

  • What to bring

    • Carry a small daypack or personal items that can easily pass through security.

    • Bring a camera to capture the panoramic views, but leave the tripod at home, as it’s not allowed.

    What’s not allowed

    • Large bags, suitcases, tripods, prams, pets, and bulky items are not permitted inside the tower.

    • Strollers and wheeled luggage must be stored in the free cloakroom located past the security checkpoint.

    Accessibility

    • Due to the tower’s structure and fire safety regulations, it is not accessible to wheelchair users.

    • Strollers are not allowed, so families with young children will need to use baby carriers.

    Additional information

    • All visitors, regardless of ticket type, will need to go through a metal detector and security screening before entering.

    • Children aged 4 and under can enter the Berlin TV Tower for free when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket.

    • To avoid crowds and capture the best city views, visit the tower early between 9am to 10am or later in the evening between 10pm to 11pm.

    • The Sphere Restaurant rotates 360° every 30 minutes, providing stunning views of the city. To secure a window seat, it's recommended to book at least 4 to 6 weeks in advance, especially for dinner or weekend reservations.

    • Don’t miss the local delicacy, Berliner Senfeier (eggs in mustard sauce), at Sphere by Tim Raue.

    • A free cloakroom is available to store any prohibited items like large bags and coats.
