All the knowledge of the volunteers. They were very informative. We enjoyed the short movie we viewed in the theater. The people that worked in the food court and in the restrooms were very friendly and helpful. I used a wheelchair and they had accommodations to make our visit stress free. There was so much history on board the Midway with its jets and helicopters. We took pictures to remember our visit.

Absolutely loved the USS Midway Museum tour. It is amazing to see the actual quarters where the 4,500 people aboard lived. Also the top secret intel room and top deck. Really made me appreciate how much our military does to train and prepare to keep us safe. Ticket purchase was super easy with Headout too!

Other than the ticket issue-we all completely enjoyed the entire experience -few of us had been here prior to, but all the grand kids were amazed --- Truly sad that the men who actually served aboard ship are becoming more and more rare---these current generations have no connection about how hard the life was at that time.

Start your adventure with a self-guided audio tour that will lead you through over 60 locations across the USS Midway. Narrated by former sailors and aviators, the tour shares what it was like to live and work on the ship. From the flight deck, where you’ll find more than 30 restored aircraft, to the hangar deck with its exhibits on naval aviation, there’s plenty to see. Along the way, you’ll get a sense of what daily life was like for the thousands of sailors who served aboard this ship and the critical missions it supported.
Hands-on activities and stories from veterans
Beyond the audio tour, the USS Midway Museum offers hands-on exhibits that let you get up close to the action. Try sitting in the cockpit of a fighter jet or challenge yourself with a flight simulator that lets you experience what it’s like to land on an aircraft carrier. Throughout the ship, Midway Volunteers—many of whom served on the carrier—are available to share their experiences and give you deeper insight into the ship’s operations. Their stories help you connect with the history and understand what it took to serve on the USS Midway during its active years.
