Vi valde Louvren för upplevelsen av att besöka ett av världens största museer. Folkmassorna ... vad kan man göra ... Paris är populärt. Besöket var helt överväldigande, från de stora öppna visningsrummen till det utsökta hantverket i salarna, golven och taken. Men precis som när man i tunnelbanan talar om ficktjuvar, när vi gick uppför en trappa, blev min fru plötsligt överraskad när hon kände att någon bakom henne försökte peta i hennes handväska. Hon stannade och vände sig om. Jag hade ingen aning om varför hon stannade. Som hon förklarade fortsatte paret bakom att gå förbi oss. Och på några sekunder var de borta. Det var en läxa att lära sig när man befinner sig på livliga platser: håll handväskan framför dig. Bortsett från den där konstiga händelsen kommer vi att besöka Louvren igen. Och biljettkostnaden är ett incitament för att utforska Louvren ytterligare vid vårt nästa besök i Paris. ... besöket: 9/10 ... några bilder

Jag besökte Versailles slott förra onsdagen och blev otroligt imponerad! Trots att det var en hektisk dag hanterade personalen folkmassorna på ett mycket effektivt sätt, vilket gjorde upplevelsen mycket trevligare. Den stora skalan och överdådigheten i Versailles var verkligen fantastisk att bevittna - jag tyckte faktiskt att det var mer fängslande än Louvren! En verkligt oförglömlig historisk och konstnärlig upplevelse.
