    Getting started

    Arrive at the Osaka Sumo Show venue, where staff will help with ticket confirmation and seating. Settle in for an introduction by the English-speaking moderator before the 40-minute performance begins.

    What to expect

    • Watch a 40-minute live sumo practice show, followed by a 10–15 minute hands-on sumo experience.

    • Take part in a photo session with sumo wrestlers after the show.

    • Try the kimono haori (Japanese formal coat) experience or upgrade to the Kimono Experience Premium for professional dressing.

    • Enjoy English commentary explaining sumo rules, history, and techniques.

    • Lottery-based participation may apply if there are too many guests for the sumo challenge.

    • Optional meal plan includes chanko-nabe hot pot, the traditional dish eaten by sumo wrestlers.

    Upgrades

    • Premium Seat (B Seat): Show only – no meal included.

    • Regular Seat (A Seat): Includes chanko-nabe hot pot meal.

    • Premium VIP Seat (S Seat): Includes the meal and upgraded front-row seating for the best view of the sumo ring.

    • Comfortable clothing suitable for light physical activity during the sumo experience.

    • Personal ID and booking confirmation for entry.

    What’s not allowed

    • Late arrivals after the check-in window (12:00–12:45 PM for lunch, 5:00–5:45 PM for dinner) — entry will not be permitted, and refunds will not be issued.

    Accessibility

    • Participants should be able to move independently during the sumo experience, as some physical activity is involved.

    Additional information

    • A lottery system may be used for the Sumo Experience if there are too many participants.

    • The venue takes safety precautions but cannot be held responsible for injuries during the experience.

    • Show times: Lunch show at 1:00 PM and Dinner show at 6:00 PM.
