The day was beautiful and my grandson and I enjoyed a school holiday outing to the Observation Deck. He thouroughly enjoyed finding buildings and venues that were significant to him. We followed the tour with a delicious lunch and had a great time. Highly recommend this adventure.

It was a really great experience. The views were amazing! Great place for taking pictures, and solidifying memories. I rated it a 4 to be honest, since a 5 is perfect. However, I have been spoiled, by fantastic view points across the globe. So for the view, I rated it a 4.5, because I love the ocean and sunset/sunrise view. The city and beachfront resorts are also very awe inspiring to see. Good food awaits at the cafe if you feel like having a bite, while you're there.

We loved viewing the city by night, it was absolutely amazing, my disappointment came in when I went to ask a question as we checked in, the lady waljed off. We also tried to use the photo booth but sadly it wouldn't work, there was no staff around to ask for help.

We had a great visit to the Sky Deck Observation Deck on the Gold Coast. Booking was easy, entry was quick, and the views were stunning. Enjoying a refreshment on the deck was a highlight, and the tram made getting there simple. Highly recommended!

Incredible experience, one doesn't appreciate how beautiful seeing Surfers and surrounds from so high up. We even spotted a whale and was great to be higher than the helicopter that flew past. Thank you for the memory.

Getting started

Arrive at the main entrance of Q1 and present your ticket for validation. After a quick security check, board one of the world’s fastest elevators for a direct ride to the observation deck.

What to expect

Floor-to-ceiling glass panels: Enjoy 360-degree panoramas of the coastline, city, and hinterland.

Interactive touch screens: Spot key landmarks and local highlights, including the famous Surfers Paradise, with easy-to-use digital displays.

SkyPoint Climb: Spot climbers on Australia’s highest external building climb, a thrilling adventure happening outside the deck.

What to bring

Bring a valid photo ID to match the name on your booking if requested at the entrance.

What’s not allowed

Outside food and beverages are not permitted inside the observation deck.

Tickets are non-transferable, not redeemable for cash, and cannot be resold to another party or third party for re-sale.

The venue may shift to an 18+ only space at certain times; please check operating hours and age restrictions before your visit.
