San Basilio de Palenque - First Free Town Day Tour

Spend a day in an Afro Colombian community, hearing residents share how their language, customs, and life together keep roots alive.

Begin with pickup at your Cartagena hotel, travel by road with your group to the village, and arrive ready to start your time there.

Cover about 5 km on foot through streets, squares, and meeting points with an English speaking Palenque guide, focusing on life here.

Experience a live African drum show, talk with hosts, and see how music, rhythm, and conversation express the heritage you have just seen here.

Upgrade your day by adding traditional lunch, choosing between meat, chicken, or vegetarian plates so you can try the cuisine without extra planning.
