I had visitors from Lüneburg and planned something special... a steamboat trip fell through because the Elbe River was too low on water, so: off we went to our beautiful, magnificent Semperoper! The tour was very informative. We learned about the history of the building, its builder, the artists, composers, operas, and the restoration. The huge chandelier, which we were able to view from the box, was sensational... Next time we will attend a performance to see the versatile stage in action and to enjoy the varied program.

The tour of the Semperoper impressed us deeply. A fascinating building with a moving history. The lady (Susanne) who led yesterday's tour shone with her friendly personality and 100% professional expertise. My wife and I will certainly be attending an official event at the Semperoper in appropriate attire in the near future. Thank you very much for these opportunities. Dresden is really great. Best regards, Ralf and Steffi Weschenfelder.

Our tour guide gave a very engaging talk about the Semper Opera House and its architectural history. We learned a lot about the restoration work and the special techniques used. She was easy to understand. She also shared a few little anecdotes along the way. It was a wonderful experience.

We booked a family tour and thanks to our excellent guide Johannes, our three-year-old son not only made it through, but he also had fun and was able to actively participate. Thanks, Johannes!

It was a very interesting tour with fascinating insights into the various reconstructions of the building after the fire and during the GDR era after its destruction in World War II.

It was short enough not to get boring and long enough to feel well-informed. It was just a shame that the stage was blocked by the "iron curtain."

A truly wonderful experience for the whole family. The tour is designed with children in mind and is presented in a way that’s engaging for all age groups. The guided tour is very informative and offers excellent behind-the-scenes insights into the Semperoper. With our guide, G. Köhler, you could really tell that he loves the Semperoper. His enthusiasm even rubbed off on us, so much so that we managed to snag standing-room-only tickets for the performance that very same evening and saw a wonderful show.

Such a loving, personal, and insightful tour of this opera house and its history. Definitely worth seeing—even for children and teens. It’s pleasantly cool in the summer and very entertaining at 45 minutes. We didn’t take advantage of the 3-euro additional fee for taking photos.
