GroupVerified bookingJun 20265/5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Must-Visit in Pattaya – Book Online for the Best Deal! The Sanctuary of Truth was one of the highlights of our Pattaya trip. We booked our tickets through Headout and ended up getting a great deal. The tickets were already discounted compared to the counter price, and with credits available in my Headout wallet, the final price worked out to be an absolute bargain. What impressed us most was how well-organized the entire experience was. Since the structure is still undergoing restoration work, safety is taken seriously and helmets are provided before entering. The guided tour is mandatory initially, and I would highly recommend paying attention because the guide shares fascinating details about the temple’s history, symbolism, wood-carving techniques, architecture, and the meaning behind the intricate sculptures. It makes you appreciate the place so much more. The craftsmanship is simply mind-blowing. Every inch of the structure is carved from wood, and the level of detail is incredible. The sanctuary sits beside the ocean, which makes the views even more spectacular and gives you plenty of opportunities for beautiful photographs. One of my favorite parts was visiting the carving workshop where artisans were actually working on the sculptures in front of us. Watching these skilled craftsmen create such detailed artwork by hand gave us an entirely new appreciation for the monument. Visitors are even offered a chance to participate in a carving activity at the end of the tour. A few tips for future visitors: • If booking online, purchase your ticket at least an hour before arrival as there is usually a waiting period before it becomes valid. • Check the guide timings in advance so you can plan your visit smoothly. • Dress modestly—shoulders and knees should be covered. Sarongs are available at the counter against a refundable deposit. • Don’t carry food or drinks beyond the security gate, as they are not allowed inside the attraction. • The walk involves roughly 500 meters and some stairs, so elderly visitors or anyone wearing heels should keep that in mind. • It can get quite warm during the day, but umbrellas are provided near the sanctuary, which was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. Overall, this was far more than just a sightseeing stop—it was a chance to witness extraordinary craftsmanship, learn about culture and philosophy, and enjoy one of the most unique structures we’ve ever seen. Highly recommended, and booking through Headout made the experience even better.

What to expect
Sanctuary of Truth
Your morning session at the Sanctuary of Truth centers on a vast hand-carved wooden structure built without metal nails, rising about 105 meters above the shoreline. Inside, four themed wings and carved halls are filled with sculptures and reliefs that draw on Thai, Khmer, Chinese, and Indian philosophies and religious iconography.

Walk through the carved halls and four wings, using your included access to explore wood carvings that depict mythological stories, cultural beliefs, and the idea of impermanence across the structure.
-
Take time to observe religious symbolism from Thai, Chinese, Khmer, and Indian traditions as you move between the central wooden tower, surrounding galleries, and sea-facing viewpoints.
-
Use your morning session entry to experience the interior and exterior details at your own pace, focusing on sections and angles that interest you most during this dedicated time slot.
Khao Kheow Open Zoo
At Khao Kheow Open Zoo, Thailand's first open zoo, animals live in spacious, open zoo animal enclosures designed to feel more natural and uncaged. The zoo focuses on conservation, research, and education, inviting visitors to learn more about wildlife from around the world in an open-zoo setting.
Features
-
Use your admission to access open zoo animal enclosures where more than 8,000 animals from over 300 species reside, including zones like the Savanna with zebras and giraffes, the Cats Complex with lions and tigers, the aviary, and the deer park.

Join interactive animal feeding sessions, watch the penguin parade, see flying bird parades, and explore the nocturnal wildlife areas after dark, all designed to help you learn about ethical treatment and behavior of animals in an open environment.
