We had a beautiful day at the San Diego Zoo! There were so many senior volunteers ready to greet, help, and guide visitors. One even helped us with purchasing our parking ticket, and once inside the zoo, we continued to encounter helpful volunteers along the way. The zoo was clean, well maintained, and had plenty of shade along the paths as we made our way around to see the animals. And we saw SO many animals! The three children in our group ranged in age from 1½ to 5 years old, and we truly had the best time! It was a wonderful day for the whole family, and we can’t wait to go back. 🦁🦒🐘

Fantastic tour and active animals, even in the heat!We visited the San Diego Zoo on 9/6 and had a wonderful experience. We decided to do a guided tour, and our guide was fantastic—very knowledgeable and engaging. It was a warmer day, so we weren't sure how active the wildlife would be, but we were pleasantly surprised to see so many animals out and about. It's a massive, beautiful park with plenty of shade. A perfect day trip!

What made our visit to the San Diego Zoo so special was that it was our first time visiting the Zoo. This was a late birthday gift for my 12 year old son. He had been wanting to visit the spacious, miles and miles of open land home to thousands of animals. He especially loved seeing the reptiles, and also the lions. We would totally visit again! Thank you San Diego zoo for such a wonderful vacation!

Family fun with relatively short walking distances for a zoo. The weather was great and we enjoyed the bus ride around the park after our legs got tired. We waited 15-20 min to ride on the top of the double decker bus. Park staff was very courteous. We got to see the giant pandas after the initial opening rush was gone and only waited maybe 10 minutes. Most importantly they have two axolotls.
