Visiting the cathedral is a must when in Florence. Still, I feel that going inside without a guide isn’t really worth it, because the interior looks quite plain at first. Our guide, however, showed us details I never would have noticed on my own. They made me see how much thought went into the building process, and thanks to that, I now appreciate the cathedral on a much deeper level.

It allowed me access to the cathedral when the tickets were sold out and the guide was very knowledgeable . However, we had to wait 45 min in line and there were issues with the mics.

The tuor person is very knowledgeable, she can talk and explain in detsil of each ever activity, if you are interested in leaning and exploring the cathral then you should buy the ticket with guide tour

The guide was very informative and the cathedral is very nice. Personally it's more beautiful from outside the inside.
We chose the 9:30 tour but be aware the church opens at 10am and we still had to wait on the line. So, we started lining up 9:30 and entered the church around 11:00. So, not sure what the skip the line feature is.
Otherwise, it was a nice experience and the painting on the domo is really impressive

We loved seeing the Duomo and the check in process was pretty straightforward. There are a lot of tour groups that meet in the same area so it's important to pay attention to the uniforms and detailed instructions to sign in with the right groups. The line moved quickly and we only waited about 10 minutes with our group.
Unfortunately we had a lot of challenges using the earpieces and we couldn't hear most of what the guide was saying. We ended up wandering around taking pictures but missed the historical information that we were hoping for with this paid tour.
