Entering the Musée d'Orsay thrilled me from the first moment. Knowing that it was a former train station and seeing how they preserved those huge structures, the natural light and the clock, makes the space as impressive as the works it houses. What I enjoyed most was the Impressionist area: being in front of paintings by Monet, Renoir, Degas and Van Gogh among others, was a very special, almost intimate experience. The colors, strength and sensitivity of those works are felt in a unique way. I also enjoyed discovering the sculptures and how the whole museum dialogues with each other, even if you don't get to see everything. It was a great decision to have taken out the ticket in advance, as I was able to go through it at my leisure and without queues. A visit that really leaves a mark and that I recommend without hesitation.

Having visited Paris several times over the years, I decided to take the family along. Knowing the queues for the museum we booked the fast track (timed) tickets and on arrival were thankful for doing so. The (normal) queue was several hundred metres in length. Whilst the fast track did not give you immediate entry, it was well worth paying the extra. We waited approximately 15 minutes. The museum itself was simply stunning and was able to enthuse our two boys also. On reflection I would probably start on the top floor (5th I believe) and work our way down. I have always been a fan of Impressionism and seeing the actual pieces of artwork that I have had hanging at home gave me goose bumps. Give yourself a minimum of two hours for the visit but realistically 3 hours would be best.

It was especially crowded today at the Orsay museum and the long non-ticketed line was estimated to take 45 minutes to get through, so I was very happy to have my special pass thanks to Head out. My wait time was perhaps five minutes and after I showed the bar code on my phone I was in the museum. I went to see the special exhibit - John Singer Sargent - that was also crowed as it closes soon. But no trouble getting in with the museum-wide pass... Not to mention it was cold in Paris, having just snowed, so I did not have to wait outside in the cold :) All in all a great experience!

The Impressionists are the most viewed and Van Gogh, my favorite, draws a myriad of people. The time slot entry system was the best! I didn't have to wait in long lines and the Museum is very punctual with the assigned time slots. Just by showing my ticket on the phone, I was able to enter the galleries without any problems. I took the recommendation to start with the impressionist room on the 5th floor and then went to the 2nd floor. I had a tour of about 4 hours that allowed me to see works I had always wanted to see up close.

It was just not clear at the time of purchase that I had purchased not only an audio tour for the museum d'Orsay but an audio tour for a number of sights in Paris that I would not necessarily visit. It was also not clear that I had to download and listen to the audio tour itself on my phone. The Dutch translation of the audio tour also left something to be desired. I also found the audio tour too expensive (as much as the tickets themselves, while audio tour museum cost only 6 euros). If I could do it over, I would have only bought the tickets through you guys (without audio tour).

There was a huge crowd in the Van Gogh gallery but there were several of my favourites there. The lunch at the restaurant was very good with courteous prompt service. Hello! Everything was great, except for the audio guide experience. I downloaded the app that was noted in the confirmation email (global audio guide), and while the email said no code was needed, when I opened the app I was promptly asked for a code. I tried using the booking ID from Headout but that didn't work, and there was no other number in the email that I could reference. The staff at the audio guide desk at the museum said they were unaffiliated with both companies so I had to purchase audio guides for everyone in our group which was disappointing and an added cost that I thought would be covered with this ticket. As such, I'm wondering if it would be possible to get reimbursed for the cost of those devices? Merci! ~Krista

Purchased the unguided tour so we could go at our on pace. Easy entry with the fast pass tickets. Selected the 3:30 pm tickets to avoid the morning crowds, with the knowledge that the museum closes at 6 pm. However, we weren't able to enjoy key aspects such as the cafe as we learned at the host stand that it closed at 4:45, nor the rooftop terrace as it closed at 5 pm, along with the souvenir shops. They start exiting guests at 5 pm so we were disappointed and felt our visit was cut short. Would have been nice to know these aspects BEFOREHAND. Recommend a morning time slot even though will likely be more crowded, just so you can enjoy the while museum if you'd like.

The cathedral is beautiful. Our tour started late because there weren't enough audio guides and our guide had to go get more. Once we got in line, the people at the gate wouldn't let our group in. We had to wait about 20-30 minutes. Our guide did his best but some in the group were very annoyed that the immediate access was not accurate and that was why we got the group tickets in the first place. Would have liked more info on the reconstruction instead of religious stuff.

The museum houses some of the best works of Impressionism, there are no long lines (visited on a Saturday lunchtime), I also attended a show with dancers I was unable to download the audio guide I had purchased, probably because of the slow network, I recommend doing that first!

Paris is without a doubt a wonderful city. From Montmarte, with its artistic alleys, to the Louvre Museum, to the Eiffel Tower lit up at night, every corner smells of art. Even the Orsay Museum located in the train station with paintings by Van Gogh, Renoir, the glass roof and its precious clock, an iconic symbol of French art, are part of this spectacular city . The fast track tickets were wonderful to have! The Orsay was so very crowded that without them we would have been in line for hours. We chose not to use the audio guide we purchased. Again crowd size limited our ability to stop, look and listen. In the future I will book sooner and get a tour guide. Thanks to head out- the only one to get us last minute tickets into the Orsay !

I made the reservation 30 min in advance, we went straight in and no lines. What I didn't like is that they say it closes at 6:00 pm when in fact it is 5:30 pm so the time we were able to be inside was even less than expected.
