St. Peter’s Basilica Guided Tour

Good, a little disorganized and a lot of wasted time. But it was good. I went off on my own to explore, because the history can be googled or read in the library, most people already read and heard, then come to SEE it . Tour guide needs to focus on getting people inside, taking them to various biblical status, and areas, for pictures. This is not a history class, we only had 1-2hrs , but our tour guide spent 40 mins telling us stories and history outside and on the door way, While I applaud her of her knowledge, however this is not a history class, 6 of us had other tours scheduled right afterwards, so we left the tour midway to explore the Basilica on our own, including the Tomb areas underneath.

I had an incredible experience on the St. Peter’s Basilica Guided Tour. Our guide was absolutely amazing and extremely knowledgeable about the rich history and architecture of the basilica. I walked away with a much deeper appreciation and understanding of this iconic site. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Vatican!

When we got there the venue was temporarily closed due to the amunt of visitors, this meant that once we got inside I just felt like the tour was very rushed, so that the tour guides could get onto the next group and catch up. This also meant that I missed my next tour and I wasn't able to get a refund on that because they said it was my fault still, even though the venue was closed.

Virginia (Ginny) gave us a wonderful tour of St, Peter's! She was an excellent guide and very personable and knowledgeable! Great experience! Thank you!

The guide Mariana was excellent, very well prepared, with very precise and pertinent information about the Basilica and its history. I recommend it.

Our knowledgeable guide. We enjoyed the information Eduardo (?) Imparted which made us understand the meaning behind many of the artwork gracing the Basilica and St. Peter's square.

We did the tour with James, all excellent, there were many people, however we entered without queuing, he explained many details not only of St. Peter's Basilica, but also of St. Peter's Square and surrounding buildings! It was a 2 hour tour with lots of information? 100% recommendable!

The guide was knowledgeable but it was out as a 1 hour tour which started on time but we didn't even enter the basilica until over an hour after the tour start time and due to schedule had to leave the tour early when he was 2.5 hours into the time from the tour start. While he did great with what he did show it was frustrating when we were looking for a quicker tour in the time we had available.

It would have been helpful to know who we were looking for. 'The tour guy' not Headout. Si we were wandering around amidst the crowds until a security guard pointed us to The Tour Guy.

The waiting time was fine. Waiting for the tickets in the blazing sun for the guide, who still had to buy the dome tickets, could be improved. Guide had a lot of knowledge, but it was too opinionated for me.

It was very thorough. Our great guide did a good job trying to avoid the crowd and giving us the best experience possible!!

Superlative guide interesting and great at telling trivia and data, the time flew by. Only downside the queues which I hoped were skipped with a guided tour but maybe it's also a particular time so I don't blame it.

We took the tour in a small group. The starting point was easy to find. Our guide JAD was attentive to our needs, and we appreciated his explanations.

Truthfully, i only took the tour to "skip the line" because i have been in the basilica many times before. However, i so thoroughly enjoyed myself. Our tour guide was SO knowledgeable about everything. She even had a book with diagrams to make things easy to understand. I found it important to be given background about what we were viewing. I highly recommend this tour!

The explanation was very complete and enjoyable, with a lot of historical content, shared in a fun way. Unfortunately the time of the tour was affected by Vatican protocols (Good Friday) and it was not possible to access the dome, but it is certainly an experience worth living accompanied by a guide who explains the context of the basilica to better appreciate its contents.

The tour was very good overall, and the guide's explanations made it even easier to discover this magnificent place.
