Ticketing was good. Screen a bit difficult to see in the sun and location indicator didn't work. Maybe better with headphones to hear explanation. Possibly next time would choose a guide to accompany

The history and ability to walk about freely with the audio tour guide perfectly suited our needs. We could go at our own pace and our own destinations within the city. If I can do it over again, I would bring more snacks and drinks to help along the hike, as well as headphones to help with the audio tour. Otherwise, you have to hold the audio guide up to your ear like a phone.

The pick up of audio guide and tickets without queuing was perfect. The guide in general worked well. I recommend the plus service to avoid those queues.

Having tickets in advance means less waiting, but you'll still have to queue to get through security. Tip: go straight to the queue to enter the site, then go straight to the kiosk for the audioguides. Do not continue to queue to get to the ticket office.

The stewards at the entrance sent us to the wrong ticket office despite having pre-booked our ticket online. Waited 1 hour to be sent to another counter. Absolutely unprofessional. Made a large part of our tour impossible.

Everything was great. To improve: more information about the houses and other places that are closed and cannot be visited.

Pompeii was great, the audio guide also worked well, but we had to queue for a long time to get our tickets, despite showing our reservation number. We were only waved out of the area shortly before the official ticket office and taken to an extra ticket office, which was apparently available for this reservation. Before that, however, we were turned away at the entrance. That was a good 50 minutes of queuing, which we would have liked to have spent longer on the site. The parking lot is also a rip-off.

I expected the tickets to actually arrive by email or via the app. All it took was one piece of misinformation from a member of staff at the venue and I was thrown into a queue to collect my tickets. When I finally arrived at the desk, I was told that the tickets were in the kiosk with the audioguides. It also wasn't clear that the express ticket only allowed you to take the shortest route. When I arrived at the Villa dei Mistery, I couldn't get in.

Simple, functional app that also worked well on site. However, skip the line could not really be implemented - queuing even for online bookers; only German-language ticket on the display caused some trouble at the entrance, audio guide output well described - whose battery was then empty after 5 hours in one case. Of course, this is not a criterion for the Headout rating.

Queues at both the entrance and exit, and heavy crowds at the entrance and exit. Would staggered entry times help?

It was relatively quick to get in. However, it took a while to get the audio. Suddenly the gentleman who served us was gone, apparently he had to get a refill of the paper ticket. Why do we still need a paper ticket in the online age? Why do we still have to hand in an audio device now that almost everyone uses a smartphone? Couldn't the audio file be downloaded to a private smartphone for a limited time? I could then use my headphones. Anyone who wants to could still pick up a device at the counter. Thank you very much for your efforts and best regards

Though it was a "skip the line" ticket, the security staff did not understand and instructed us (and many others) to stand in line at the ticket counter. Then, there were just 2 attendants at the audiotour desk & both were working methodically. Overall, we stood in line for over 45 minutes after attending.

We appreciated the fact that we were able to enter the site relatively quickly. However, we were very disappointed by the audio guides. No cord to put the phone around our neck, forcing us to hold it in our hands. No headphones or earpieces were provided, and even at full volume we couldn't listen to the comments without putting the device to our ear.

Fantastic place, walking the streets of a Roman town was amazing. The audio guide was very informative, so much to see so be selective!

The programme is great. It is important to pick up the ticket at the same place where you pick up the audio guide! No need to queue in other queues! Then you can get in quickly. We were inside all day from 9am, it was a very special experience.

The experience of pompeii and simply being there was incredible and I would recommend it to anyone. I found the audio guide slightly dissapointing as quiet a lot of the rooms and displays it guided us to were roped off and closed to the public when we got there.

We really appreciated the audio-guide tour and the fact that we had our tickets in advance. However, the person at the entrance to the Pompeii site didn't want to know anything, even when we showed him our tickets on our phone. He forced us to queue with people without tickets.... Fortunately, it didn't take too long.

Tickets online went well. Kept waiting for a QR code for the tickets, but wasn't needed at the venue. No signs at Pompei letting us know where to go so that made things confusing. Signage would be a good idea!

Took about 30 mins to get the the audio guide. Did not skip the line. The venue and railway need to provide shelter from rain or sun. Food area was a disaster. Eventually ate lunch under my umbrella in the rain. Once at the front of the line ticket and audio quickly provided. No queue to return. Audio was good. Site is extraordinary.
