The Paris Catacombs were so impressive that the walk along the Seine didn't seem so interesting, although the city from the river was gorgeous. It's even a matter of time perception. An hour in the catacombs flew by, and the river walk lasted a long time. If you're not afraid of narrow spaces and cemeteries, I highly recommend visiting the catacombs. I'm delighted

I booked an audioguide tour of the catacombs with Headout. Smooth as silk to book, meet and enjoy. Headout emailed me my tickets, I presented to doorman who scanned and walked in at my timeslot. As soon as you walk in the folks hand you your audioguide(looks like cell phone). Audioguide is awesome and easy to operate. You can enjoy at your own pace. Once inside you will descend approx 50-60 spiral steps to get underground and do the same back up. Once inside you will see millions of bones, skulls and headstones letting you know where the gravesites are from. IT's quiet, respectful, dark and rocky. If you have a stroller it will be a challenge.

The catacombs were very special though. Everything went very smoothly, too. The Arc de triomphe was fun to do. We got there just around 10pm so we could see the lights of the Eiffel Tower twinkling.

Ossuaries (stacking, storing human bones) are fascinating. The church in Kutna Hora, Czech Republic is a great one above ground. But the Paris Catacombs is a fantastic one that is underground! It is well kept, well managed and one of the great sites when visiting Paris.

We loved visiting the catacombs. We got there and went straight in as we arrived right at our tour time. The self guided tour was great to be able to go at one's own pace. I went with my 10 year old boy and he really loved the tour. I wasn't sure he would want to follow the audio guide, but it was short enough and very interesting so he stuck to it and was telling me about all the history after the tour. I highly recommend!

We've done the catacombs before, and that was exactly the way we expected, although this particular tour didn't have the heart shaped skulls that we saw last time at a different entry point. As far as the encounters with employees, it went OK except the girl who handed us our audio guides was very rude. We asked her to repeat something and she was very annoyed and short with us.

I feel compled to leave a review based on my experience. Out of desperation we booked with Headout for a tour that was sold out everywhere else (Paris Catacombs). We read the reviews on Headout and felt that we may be risking booking with them based on all the poor reviews but decided to go for it because there really wasn't another option and by chance maybe it would work out and at least we kind of knew what the outcome could be going into it. We booked 2 months before our trip and within minutes recieved the digital tickets. This made us a bit more confortable but still we just were not sure if Headout was legit. 2 months later (last week) we headed to the Catacombs as the digital tickets instructed and they scanned perfectly. No issues, no questions, perfection! We are so thankful that the tickets were actual tickets and we weren't scammed. We never had to deal with customer service so I can't say anything in that regards but for our experience we had absolutey no issues. Based on this event we would absolutely give Headout another try!

There were no tickets available for people under 18. Since we went there with our 16 year old daughter, I bought three adult tickets to make sure she could accompany us. Apparently she didn't need a ticket at her age but this was not clear from the website or booking process. So I could have saved a lot of money. The experience itself was satisfying though.

Unfortunately some people cannot behave nicely and present staff does not respond. It is a place where nearly 6mln people from different cemeteries in Paris are buried. Therefore people present / tourists in the catacombs should respect that place - however, behavior of some people is just bad.

The lady working on the day was very unhelpful with my ticket until another man showed me where my tickets were. The lady made me leave the line because I showed the wring ticket. It would have been good to be provided clear instructions about the fact that whilst its a combined tour, the tours are nowhere remotely close to each other and there was not information on how to get from one location to the next. I found the whole experience disappointing.

This site is a SCAM!!!! There tickets are not real tickets and DO NOT work at venues. They also over charge double what the venue charges! I called and emailed with Headout to get a refund and they are refusing to help and not responding to emails. DO NOT PURCHASE TICKETS FROM THIS SITE! Hello Headout Team today WE we're Not able to Open the pdf links including our Tickets. Therefore the Access to our Tour INSIDE the catacombes of Paris was denied. We are very disappointed. In Addition to the Headout App i have installed the newest pdf Acrobat ON my Google Pixel 8 but Withpunkt success. Also the Chat and call in your helpdesk did Not Help us. As the booking was combined with the seine River Tour we have Not used the Tickets. Please Note that the River Tickets could been opened. So the failure was Not in my Phone. At the catacombs I wasn't allowed in as they said my ticket wasn't valid. I showed the one in email and the one on the Headout app, both were identical and denied. They showed that it needed red lines on it which mine did not have. I was able to connect with the Headout staff to try to fix the problem. They saw that I purchased the catacombs and River cruise pack. They verified my booking ID number and that it showed not valid with them too. To their credit they tried there best. 3 staff talked to me and tried to fix it. Finally unable to fix it they said they would cancel the tickets, refund me and I would need to buy new tickets at the venues. The catacombs was sold out but I think them seeing that I was in the verge of tears, they allowed me to buy a ticket. From the conversation with Headout I knew my cruise ticket was cancelled. That venue allowed me to purchase a new one, no problem. I purchased the tickets on Aug. 8th for use on Aug. 10th. The 10th I was told I would be refunded, as I needed to rebut the tickets at the venues. It is now Aug. 15th and I have not yet received a refund from Headout. Please let me know when I can expect this to be refunded?

The tour of the catacombs was very interesting and educational. However, when we arrived, our tickets were not QR coded, so that required calling 2 different numbers quickly so we wouldn't miss our paid tour entry time. Not very well organized on your part. They told us that this happens all the time. The second number I called worked and they sent the correct tickets. Also, having to wait to get the tickets within 24 hours is not comfortable for the client who has already paid in advance. You need find a new way of providing the correct tickets much earlier to your clients. I had to call again when we arrived at the Seine River Cruise to get the correct QR codes sent to me. Very inconvenient and panic producing.... you need to do better.

What I liked best was that you could walk through the catacombs at your own pace and still get to know everything about the story thanks to the audio guide. So you could take enough time to look at everything in peace. I also like the fact that the audio guide is available in several languages. It was very tedious with the tickets and it was unclear for a long time whether it would work at all If the tickets are only confirmed on the same day at 09:00 and then the idea is to be on site at 10:45, it is not possible depending on the route. When we were there, everything went as expected.

I loved nothing, I was charged a combo ticket price in advance to guarantee our places. The CATACOMBS WERE CLOSED FOR 1 DAY STRIKE ON FRIDAY THE 13TH. WTF you are horrible. Remove the Catacombs from your bookings, Fuck them. Make them lose business. They literally ruined my vacation today with the laziness hullshit they pulled. The Arc du Triomphe wasn't even fun because OF my morning at the BULLSHIT CATACOMBS was cancelled due to 1 DAY FRIGGIN STIRKE? WHO EXACTLY STRIKES FOR 1 DAY? How is that guaranteed access? Go unlock the damn door, and find a time machine. Because I had guaranteed entry at 11am, I did not enter, due to them not being Fucking open. I will never book here again, some of your bookings worked, but I even had trouble with my crazy horse tickets, because you wouldn't provide an actual Barcode ticket. Learn how to function properly before you start taking my money, and telling me things aren't cancellable. You have my money held up now, I cant go another day, I'm leaving Monday the 17th morning. The tour was canceled due to the strike. We were not informed ahead of time so we wasted $15 on a taxi because it was too far for us to walk. We could have received a simple text to inform us! We expect a full refund from this entire exercursion as the message was that someone get ahold of us in 1-2 minutes. We did not hear from anyone at Headout App. It is very discouraging since our time is so limited and this was booked months in advance. The next opening for a tour is only after we've already gone! We spent so much time organizing this and it has taken away from our trip! Very disappointing!

Very simple to purchase the tickets , would be better if you could add them to Google wallet, had to faff about with the email getting screenshots to avoid delay at the entrance. The experience of the catacombs was excellent, but probably wouldn't do it again. Be warned 130 spiral staircase on the way down and 86 on the way up. Ground in the passageways is a little uneven in places and low roofs.

The guide was a little unsure of historical details and relied on the wow factor of the skeletal remains and some stone sculpture in the catecombs. I expected a detailed serious history journey for €158. I did not receive that but received instead a learnt off script. Answers of questions outside of that script were unsatisfactory.

I thought that the information presented in the catacombs was well done, and the audio guide was very helpful.. One suggestion: please warn people that they will need to walk 130 steps down and 130 steps up. That's it. For the rest, the visit was excellent! I will definitely recommend the visit to friends and acquaintances, with the caveat about the steps. :-)

It was the catacombs; absolutely incredible to see a real eerie sense. Very pleased we went. It was an absolutely tiny section when you think they sprawl for over 300miles e.g There are 15 short audio play points in total. Feels longer walking up and down the 20 metres of spiralling staircase. You're not allowed a pram inside and they won't let you store a folded pram in the plentiful space where they hand out the audio guides so we had to pay a cafe across the road €5 to look after it.

You don't respect your prices at the ticket office vs prices advertised on the site. Even when we report it by email, the response is insufficient (aps batobus). The person who replied did not read the request or did not have the ability to understand it. Prtt well explained and in clear terms. I have sent a complaint to your site copy below I have booked tickets for a guided tour of the Paris catacombs, the price includes a trip on the Seine reservation n° 22997682 Visit of February 20, 2025 Impossible to download the tickets correctly: even on site, at the reception desk, they were unable to do so. QR code inactive Impossible to modify tickets even though the option is available on the website. No tour of the Seine at the catacombs reception desk. Exorbitant price given the remaining service without the tour. Miraculously, when the guide arrived, she had me on her list, so I was able to take the tour. If I hadn't arrived well in advance to try and resolve the problem, I wouldn't have been able to do it. I would have liked to change my ticket for 2 reasons: firstly, I would have liked to change the date, and secondly, I would have liked to change it for 1 adult and 1 schoolchild. As it was impossible to make the change, despite the suggestion made by your site, I went to the scheduled date. I found that the price was 35€ for an adult and 17€ for a schoolchild, whereas I had paid 248€. I found a phone number on a message I received via Whattshapp; I can't see any valid reason for you to have used Whastshaap to communicate with me when you had e-mail and a cell phone. I called 3 times asking for a call in French and was disconnected. I ended up calling in English, and a correspondent found my reservation and gave me this e-mail address. I therefore consider your proposal to be a scam. I therefore request that you pay me 148 - 2 x 35 = 178 €. Otherwise, I will file a complaint for online scamming. I look forward to your reply, which I hope will be positive.

They charged much more than the combined price of the two attractions. The tickets to the cruise were not valid. I couldn't call or communicate. Finally I managed to do it and they sent me the tickets but I had to wait in line anyway. It was the same as buying it at the time. I only bought here because I didn't realize that it was not an official website because they sponsor it to be first in the google search. I will never buy again in this app/Page.

The Catacombs were amazing but everything head out did was horrible. We didn't receive any tickets till 3 hours before the beginning of the tour (but booked 2 weeks in advance). But even then we only received the tickets for the Seine river cruise (after calling 15 times someone finally answered the phone and then send it to us). At the entrance we were obviously denied entry because we haven't has the right ticket, so we called headout (around 50 times for 40 minutes straight) 10 minutes before the beginning of the tour someone finally answered and told us we had the right ticket after a long discussion we finally got the right ones and we were lucky we were allowed to get in late. All in all the experience with headout was horrible but the Team from the catacombs and the catacombs itself were amazing. I will never be booking on Headout again!!! Not even worth one star!!!

E-Tickets received in email without any hassles. Give five stars for headout's efficiency and we also booked from them for Versailles. Just that at the Seine cruise, after we entered the line for the cruise, a staff working at the entrance approached us and instructed us, in an extremely impolite tone, to exit the queue and go back to the end of the queue again. I had to ask him why 3 times before he told me his reason. He mistook that we had crossed under the cruise line to get to the front of the queue. I told him to verify the facts with his colleague at the entrance, as I actually had a conversation with the first guy before entry. He did apologize after the verification, but the fact was also that there was nobody behind us. Not the only time I'd suffered French arrogance from those in the service industry. Same feeling I had with the numerous comments I've read on other websites: if you do not have a welcoming and accommodating nature, do not work in the travel or service industry. It is normal for tourists to ask questions and seek verification as we do not live in the city and most do not speak your language. Please be more accommodating, and not destroy the country's good image with arrogance. You are at the front line and the first choice whom tourists seek help from. The general public was helpful and polite, and at no time we felt threatened or intimidated.

We had booked the catacombs with audio guide and Seine cruise at short notice. The tickets did not arrive after 2 hours as stated in the confirmation when booking but after 12 hours, the only criticism. You can take as much time as you like for the catacombs. We took the metro to the port directly after the catacombs. The ship was quite big, so it was a bit crowded. But everyone had a good view and a place on deck. The photos of the illuminated sights at dusk turned out well and the 1.5 hour trip was just right for us.

I arrived at the venue with incorrect tickets. I was not allowed to enter because the tickets were incorrect. I reviewed my email as directed and contacted Headout to get the correct format and never received it. I have continued to contact Headout about the issue but have not received a response. I was hesitant about using Headout because of the reviews but wanted to try out the ones we're had purchased. I had success on entering two venues (one was a tour) prior so we were actually contemplating ordering more until this happened with our tickets. We did not get to go see the catacombs at all since they wore booked the other days of our trip. I would continue using health if they would refund the money for their mistake. I don't want to give a bad review as they did work for us other than this event but not contacting us about the refund has really left me frustrated. Even a credit for another event would be great. Come on headout do the right thing.

Nothing!!! My girlfriend and I were really looking forward to this. Despite heavy rain, and heavy jet lag, we got go up for this excited and got there 30 mins ahead of time. We never received the tickets through any medium (WhatsApp, email, etc) and the voucher was not sufficient. We called the support line for Headout but the connection was unstable and they were not able to help us. We had to miss the entire experience and it was a huge letdown after my girlfriend and I had looked forward to it for days. We ended up losing the money we paid and the experience. We will be recommending people stay away from the Headout app and ticket experience in the future.

I booked my tickets a few days in advance, and unlike normal companies who when you purchase something they will deliver it almost straight away, I had to constantly message your unartificial unitelligent bot who kept telling me the same story for 36 hours, that my tickets will be sent within 30 minutes, inevitably they were not. I had to keep chasing and chasing and chasing, causing me stress and my phone battery to shrink faster than my confidence in your company, which is an incredible achievement. I recieved my tickets online eventually 2 hours before my tour, which was a 1 hour journey away. I'm not looking for an apology, i will just simply never use your company again, and i will use as many opportunities as possible to tell anyone else to never use your company as well.

booked two overpriced tickets for the Catacombs in Paris through Headout, and it was an absolute nightmare. The app promised I’d receive the tickets within 24 hours, but that didn’t happen. I had to call customer service multiple times just to be told to “wait” each time. First, they said I’d get them 24 hours before the event—no tickets. Then, they said they’d send them in 30 minutes—still no tickets. Hours later, after more calls, they promised them in “4 to 5 hours” and once again, nothing. Finally, they sent two of the same ticket! I didn’t realize until I got to the venue, where they refused to let us in because we had duplicate tickets. I had to call AGAIN to fix their mistake, ruining what should’ve been a smooth experience. If you want to avoid a massive headache, stay far away from Headout. This app is unreliable, and the customer service is just as bad. I will never use it again!

However, the extra 10 euro per person to "skip the line" was ridiculous/expensive, as they would only let a limited number of people in at any given time and at the time allocated on their ticket. Interesting tour that you can do at your own pace. I did this tour with my mom who is 68. We were a little concerned given comments about all the stairs and small areas. She found the stairs extremely manageable. Only one set down at the entrance and one set out at the exit. There were probably 100 stairs but there are railing and you can go at your own pace. The catacombs weren't crowded at all and the under ground ally ways have plenty of room, are well lit and you don't feel claustrophobic at all.

The Catacombs of Paris have a magic about them that we were eager to experience in person. Tickets are only available in limited numbers because only a limited number of people are admitted, which will no doubt have to do with security. The descent into the catacombs and then the entrance to The Realm of Death is indeed impressive, surreal and occasionally chilling. A fantastic experience for that very reason. Not for claustrophobically inclined people.

It was a very interesting history of the Catacombes and very well preserved. Despite there being 300km of tunnels you only see maximum of 1km so it could be a lot longer and be far more in depth. It took us about 45 minutes to complete it at a snails pace.

I have wanted to visit the catacombs since my first visit to Paris almost 40 years ago; finally made it and it was a fascinating experience. Highly recommend unless you are claustrophobic or would have trouble climbing about 100 steps at the exit. Audioguide was quite good, would recommend doing a little reading on the history in advance. The advance ticket purchase was easy. I understand there is often a long line, but none the day we went. My family also greatly enjoyed the experience.

This has got to be one of the busiest tourist attractions. A lot of fun and so informative. I liked this a lot Probably #3 on all the stuff I did. BUT to be fair: you need to post both at the attraction and in advertising. 1) There is a LOT of stair climbing in this attraction. If you have trouble climbing stairs this may not be for you. (5 women stopped incessantly in front of me and I stopped myself - this is not for people that are not in shape. also 2) This is low and close quarters in some place. If you suffer from claustrophobia, this may be an issue. At one point I was by myself for 8-9 min and was panic stricken but you get over it. still some people would have problems with it.

Fortunately my husband's worked and he was able to fill me in on the important points of the tour. There was no person around to notify or ask for assistance so once I was down in the catacombs with a broken audio guide there was no way to fix it or replace it. That may be something to be aware of. Overall, so glad that we did not miss this tour!

Es war gut ein Onelineticket zu haben, denn der Zugang zu den Katakomben ist begrenzt und es gab keine Tickets im freien Verkauf. Der Audiogide war veständlich mit vielen interessanten Erklärungen.

Mein Audio-Gerät war leider defekt und ich musste immer wieder erneut auf den Track gehen, weil dieser immer zwischendurch abbrach. Auch passten die Tracks nicht immer ganz zu den verschiedenen Stellen, an denen man sie abspielen sollte.

Meine Erwartungen waren etwas anders. Ich erwartete mehr über die Steinbrüche bzw. das unterirdische Paris zu erfahren, heimliche Seen, verborgene Schleichwege der Unterwelt (Eugène Sue) usw. Der Riesenfriedhof hat mich aber stark beeindruckt, der Audioguide war hervorragend gestaltet.

Having tickets in advance was good idea since they did sell out at the actual entrance. Nice cool walk on a hot summer day! Fun for teens and adults. Caution to anyone over 6 feet. Some low ceilings!

Die Sehenswürdigkeit an sich ist eher makaber, ist aber natürlich Geschmackssache. Die Orga war aber gut, alles war gut zu finden und es gab keine Probleme beim Einlass. Der Audioguide war m. M. n. sehr hilfreich!

It's simple actually, when many people listen at the same time the audio guide it's hard to understand what I'm listening. So, we went off without the audio guide (even though we took it with us) and the mystery of the catacombs will be forever hidden for me. :D

We only had 24 hours in Paris and we chose to go to the Catacombs as one of the few things we had time for and it did not disappoint. It was awesome! Audio guided tour that we could set our own pace, with detailed information. I would highly recommend this tour.

My experience with Headout was excellent. Easy to book. Perfect information about where the starting point was and what we needed to check before heading out. The Paris Catacombs themselves are awesome. With the audio guided tour you'll get a tone of information about how the catacombs were established and about what happened historically. I can simply recommend going down those steps and entering a whole different world. But bring a light jacket it's not warm down there. And remember you are entering the world of the dead.

Very interesting. I wish there were times for Adults only because some of the children would push you and the parents just seemed to let them roam. I will definitely come back and maybe take one of the nighttime tours I heard about!
