Detailed and comprehensive view the guide very good. Unfortunately, however, the guide told us that no audio guide was usable for that tour. If I wanted to use the audio guide I would have to take the tour alone without the option of joining the group and without reimbursement. I don't understand why you put that the audio guide is included if then it is not there or not usable

The guide was very knowledgeable but sometimes too much information given for too long standing in one spot. We were able to skip queue for Cistern and Hagia Sophia but not Blue Mosque so spent a long time in the queue. Good to have the half hour break before the last site. My husband lost his headset in the Blue Mosque and we were unable to go back looking for it and we thought 50€ replacement cost exorbitant. Surely an occasional loss is factored into costs and insurance

The tour was amazing, detailed and it also included much needed breaks for water, coffee or just resting a bit. The crowds were ok for this time of year, not too many people, but either way, there was more than enough time to visit and see everything there was to see. It was really nice that we got to visit during one of the prayer times and saw a glimpse of what it means, with the full explanation from our guide. Be warned: you need to walk a lot, as is to be expecteeld, but I totally recommend this tour

I loved that we skipped the line. I already knew lines would be long for some of the sites and that alone made the tour worth it. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and anticipated most of our questions. There was only one criticism; the headsets used to communicate. They were uncomfortable and fell in and out of reception easily. Mostly because of the restrictions of the city, but also, I think, because of the quality of the headset. But other that that, The tour was worth the price.

The tour ran like clockwork. Our guide, Michael, was in the expected place and knowledgeably took the group to each of the three historic locations, explained their context and interesting and historical details. We were allowed our own time in each location before meeting back at an agreed place for the next stop on the tour. No real queues in the 4th week of June on a 1pm booking, but great to skip lines on this tour where possible. Apparently the rules have changes in the Hagia Sophia allowing guides to take visitors around the 2nd level which meant that Michael could explain the Christian and Muslim iconography in this exceptional 6th century building. Ticketing through Headout was easy and predictable.

It was well organized and Arthur gave us a great insight into the history and architecture of the buildings. The tour of the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia was guided. We were able to visit the basilica on our own. It makes sense to have your knees and shoulders covered and ladies should bring a scarf for their hair. At the Hagia Sophia, nothing was lent out here but you had to buy something to cover yourself and the rest of the group had to wait.

The sites are splindid, except for the blue mosque, which is not... blue. The pictures you find on the web and the ones you utuilize suggest that the interior is blue. But it is not! Moreover, the guiga gives time to the group after its speigation when you have now exited the attraction, while inside it is easy to lose it because it runs quickly to the exit. One does not even have time to take a photograph....

We feared bad surprises after reading some negative comments online, but in Istanbul everything went perfectly . Precise and punctual organization, directions are given to the meeting point and via app everything is very convenient and at hand. Pleasant tour, our guide, Ali (I unfortunately do not remember his full name), was a nice guy, knowledgeable and very helpful. We had a great time with him, the explanation given was just the right length, neither too short nor too long, and the time flew by. Very convenient the skip-the-line ticket, considering the crowds of tourists.

One tourist didn't see us at the meeting point half way through and yelled at the guide saying he hadn't shown up, but the guide did show up, he was there and so were the other tourists in the group, just this one man didn't see us and walked away. It wasn't the guide's fault, he waited for the man to come back but then had to carry on with the tour for the rest of us.

It's not that I had problems, I just wasn't enthusiastic about the experience. Although the guide was nice and I think he knew about art history, he was not very enthusiastic and conveyed it that way. Regarding "skipping the queues" it is not true at all. You only skip the one at the cistern. I think you get more out of it if you are very interested in art, which is the point of view from which it was approached.

Everything was organized, quick access and reasonably punctual. However, a lot of time was spent returning to the original meeting point after each attraction, which meant there was hardly any free time for sightseeing and you had to wait a lot. It was a new group every time.

This is my feedback on the tour led by Haluk - 11am. He was old school and thought that his experience was everything but he told us nothing during the tour. He was more concerned about making sure that the rest of the tourists didn’t jump queues at the various places and we couldn’t even hear what he was saying. He was not wearing a mike they were 20 of us in the group and he goes give us very very little information about each of the sites. I decided to drop off at this basilica cistern because I didn’t know what I was looking at at all. We were given audios but not thought how to use it and the tour was just terribly done. I learnt very little on that tour and paid too much.

I was unable to attend due to flight delays. I contacted them several hours before the scheduled start.They have a NO refund, NO rescheduling policy in the fine print. They offered a 25% discount on the next booking. I do not recommend this company.

I approached the tour guide and asked if this was the heads up tour. He told us it was not. As a result missed first part of tour. The flag banner was not identified as per instructions. They guide did not seem to know who heads up was. After many years of taking tours this is absolutely the worst one I have ever had. Others on tour also had problems. Not enough head phones. Names not on list etc. I would love a particle refund for the part of tour missed through not fault one my own. Did not see cistron site.

I purchased this tour since we were tight in time and wanted to do the main sites. Most of the time we spent out of the attractions waiting to get in, it seemed like the tickets had a time slot instead of being skip the line. Although it says skip the line it wasn't true since for many we where just standing outside and waiting. So much pointless waiting and then inside the actual Hagia Sophia we rushed through the top floor. Out of the 3 hours at least half of the time was just standing outside of the attractions doing nothing. We should've just bought the tickets on our own.

I expected more time to see those monuments, it was too speedy for me. And I didn't really appreciate the quality of guide, I expect to know more about history and small detail of each design of those monuments, things that I can not find in the internet. It was better to pay my self even if I should wait in the lines, I felt like it too expensive for nothing.

Nothing. The guide yelled at us for four hours. People told him the headsets were too loud but he proceeded to yell in our ears for four hrs!! It was a stressful and unenjoyable activity! I travelled for two weeks and took other tours in other cities. All weee wonderful after this horrible experience!

I liked the sights themselves but I found the guide to be quite demotivated. He focused mostly on the blue mosque and the sultans history with minimal information around the importance of Agia Sophia for Christians. No mention of its unique architecture and its importance prior to the Ottoman empire. The Basilica was impressive but again, the guide did not provide anything additional but the most basic information (eg he did not even do a tour of the basilica to show us the medusa head or other findings in the pillars). It might be that he was new to the job or working part-time. Definitely did not match the profile of the official agia sophia guide. I wish I got the audio guide and did the tour at my own pace; much better value and more flexibility. I do not recommend!

It's hard to say what you liked if you want to give a bad review (which I never do). The fast-track entry is simply made up, hours of queuing. Our tour guide was very friendly and helpful. The quality of the head sets was not good and the guide was therefore not easy to understand. The check-in was well organized.

I would like to point out that my friend and I enjoyed the Basilica Cisterna very much. The problem was the very misbehavior of the guide, who at the end of the visit did not check that the group was full; for this reason we never found the guide again, whose name I unfortunately do not remember. The rest of the visit (combo 'Basilica Cistern, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque') was very good, also in that we managed to find 2 other guides who were very nice, knowledgeable and welcoming (one of the 2 guys is named Murat Can Gumus, unfortunately I don't remember the other guy's name).

We skipped the line only at basilica cistern, we had to queue for both blue cistern and hagia Sophia. The tour finished like 1.30 hour lata for that reason. Also other people payed on place and the fee was way lower that the one I payed. Not clear and not honest.

The first guide was good, but the guide we had for the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque was pretty bad. Could barely hear them, the information shared was fairly uninteresting, did not have great answers to questions, etc. In the Blue Mosque, we just ended up listening to another tour's guide who was actually touching on culture, history, etc. Our guide spent so long just touching on repeated topics surrounding construction of the mosque - which is great, but only needed once.

Taxi driver could not find the meeting place using the address supplied by Headout. We drove around for 45 minutes but Google Maps could not locate the address. Later I found out that local people don't know what "blue mosque" means so asking directions is a waste of time. Eventually I left the taxi, walked to the hippodrome and found the Blue Mosque on my own. I toured it on my own. I never saw the Dsign cafe. A person in the plaza directed me to the caverna so I paid my own admission and toured that--probably the best thing I saw in Istanbul. I saw Hagia Sofia but only the outside. Obviously paying Headout was a complete waste of money.

Our guide was Arda, who was really very nice and above all knowledgeable. Unfortunately, however, due to confusion, several times we "lost" him and did not understand how and where we were supposed to proceed. At the Blue Mosque, we understood that we had to wait for him to enter together, instead we found ourselves alone, without the group anymore, so we decided to proceed; inside, fortunately, we found the group again. You should leave a cell phone number to contact in this case; we didn't know what to do. Too bad, because Arda really deserves 5 stars....

We had an excellent tour guide and the sites we visited were pretty incredible, as expected. However, we were very disappointed to find out we did not have tickets to Hagia Sophia included in our original tour package. I reviewed the information on the web site where I found the tour, and the two emails resulting from the booking and saw no mention that the tickets to tour the second floor were not included. We were not impressed that we had to find an ATM to get cash so that our tour guide could purchase these tickets for us. We were not the only ones in the group that experienced this.

Apart the lack of utility of the guide (a speech in english comprehensible maybe by the Martians) this gentleman could bother himself waiting for me just a couple of minutes more after the 2nd stop (Cistern) at the last visit (Aghia Sophia) it was impossible to find the group but luckily with the help of the local staff the agency was able to send me a new ticket for visiting Aghia Sophia - without any guide But I must add that this place was the most disappointing experience of my whole Istanbul trip - just my opinion

Arda was a very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful guide. The tour does what it promises to do. A suggestion for the vendors: it would be better to have a microphone with earphones for the guests because in the city there are so many noises (trucks, muezzins, streetcars, people,...) and sometimes we struggle a bit to hear despite the guide making an effort to speak loudly. That way we all hear better and he doesn't have to holler!

There was a huge crowd in Blue mosque, the guide told to wait outside the mosque and I waited exactly at the time that was told by the guide.. I got lost from the group and when I asked help from the MEGAPASS team, the response was hopeless and they didn't even considered my request and communication was ARROGANT.. I suggest never to book in MEGAPASS, and when I discussed my friend also had the similar BAD experience...

Unlikely several points disappointed me. 1) You have to be there 20 minutes before the tour starts. But the tour starts 10 minutes after the time because of delayed persons. So we waited there for 30 minutes. 2) The whole tour was chaotic. The guide was not able to hold the group together, everything tooks a lot of time. We also had to wait because there were not enough tickets for all persons. 3) The size of the group was too big. 4) In the basilica cisterne we were not able to unterstand oir guide. We saw other groups using headphones, this would be a good idea. 5) The guide was not very patient and he was a bit angry. 6) The tour lasts longer than expected. A problem, when you booked other tours afterwards. After the tour we felt very tired and the experience was not good.

I was already looking forward to the guided tour and was more than pleasantly surprised! Our guide Mrs Buse was very well prepared and provided us with a lot of knowledge. She was also available to answer any questions we had. She was quick to memorise our names and responded to us as a group, which quickly made me feel very comfortable. Of course, the sights were very busy, but she always looked for small places where we could listen undisturbed. She also showed us the places where we could take the best photos and we had enough time to explore the Blue Mosque, the Sunken Palace and the Hagia Sophia on our own. I would book a guided tour again at any time.

I was under the impression that having 'skip the queue' tickets was important, but we lined up at the blue mosque, and were yelled at for trying to enter at the Basilica Cistern. All venues were super crowded as all the tours seemed to start at the same time. Some of the other people on the tour were disrespectful - talking while the guide was trying to share information, pushing, smoking while close to others etc. When I return to Istanbul I will be going to venues alone at better times.

Great to be part of a guided tour and be able to skip the queues. While our tour guide was very nice and clearly knowledgeable about the subject matter, he was difficult to understand at times and spent far too long talking. There were periods where we were standing in the hot sun (on the street outside the Hagia Sofia) or sitting on the floor (inside the Blue Mosque) for 30-40+ minutes - this was very uncomfortable and meant we had less time to enjoy the sites at our leisure. There was also a break for lunch not outlined in the ticket which meant the overall tour took hours longer than anticipated.

Despite the guide's efforts to make it a nice experience (he was sympathic and knowledgeable), the experience was just OK. I'd expect us to have ear devices to be able to hear the guide regardless of the crowd surrounding us. With no devices, we had to keep finding spaces to get together and hear him out. Plus, the tour said it would end at 2pm but finally the guide suggested a pause for coffee, which meant it ended past 3pm. It was sold as if we were buying tickets for stuff that were free any way, like Blue mosque and audio guides. It was OK, but the whole experience did not feel very professional. Combined with my terrible experience the day before at Topkapi Palace Museum & Harem, I don't think I ever will buy tickets from Headout again.

Genuinely , there was nothing redeeming about this tour. When we arrived right on time, I asked the tour guide if this was a headout tour and he told me to "go away". He was exceptionally rude and curt and aggressive and wouldnt even tell me if this was the right tour grouo. I couldnt believe he was speaking to me and others who were "not on his list" this way. I video recorded his rudeness for your reference. His name is Haluk Barlas and there were at least 10 other people with me who experienced his rudeness and aggression. This person should not be working with people, let alone be a tour guide for a tourism company. I have never experienced such an awful tour guide in my life. My partner and I left the tour after the Basilica Cistern because we couldnt even hear him cause our group had approximately 30-40 people in it and he was not accommodating at all. We couldnt hear him and our shocking experience with him at the start sullied our entire trip. I would like to request a full refund or will be leaving a zero star review on google and will be telling everyone not to ever book through your agency again. My experience was absolutely appaling and I have evidence of it and will share this on social media if a full refund is not issued.

The guide wasn't there at all. I was told I would get credits for it and nothing happened. Then at another tour I literally watch the group 20 minutes ahead of time. On another tour the guide started at almost 1130 and finished at 12. The tour shouldn't start eith audio devices and tickets ans calling names that is what the 20 minutes before the tour is for. They also started at 15 after so really we got half hour out of an hour.

Skip the line tickets were the best thing we could do, it saved us hours of waiting in long queues under the sun. The group was quite small which make it easy to hear our guide. Our guide was great, he spoke very good English and explained everything in a very interesting way. I really liked that he also told us about Turkish history, culture, current situation in the country etc., I found it very interesting. Hagia Sofia was amazing and breathtaking. Basilica cistern was a big surprise, it's a beautiful place worth visiting. The time given in each place was enough for exploration and pictures. The tour overall took 4 hours. I highly recommend this tour when in Istanbul.

Wonderful and knowledgeable tour guide. He was kind and patient with us and answered all of our questions thoughtfully. I was so amazed by the ancient craftsmanship of the cistern and the sacred beauty of the mosques. I am not Muslim but I felt welcomed at the mosques. If you identify as a woman, please bring a headscarf. And in case the event guide doesn't tell you, all genders should wear clothing that covers your arms and legs, below the knee. Sandals are okay, but know that you'll be asked to take your shoes off at one of the mosques. This was not a problem for me. If any of that is a problem for you, please choose another of Istanbul's many excursions. I had an absolutely wonderful experience!

We learned a lot during our tour and I appreciated how much knowledge the guide shared and how he could project his voice, despite our group size. He was also engaging and well organized with communicating the timings and schedule throughout the day. I was disappointed with how large the group was ( like 40 people) as it took long to get people organized because we had to wait for people who were late, who were not prepared with the dress code, etc. It took awhile to get the head sets organized and then they didn't even work so our guide had to collect them all again. I think the tour would have been much more enjoyable and efficient if the guide had less people in the group, which I think is something the company should consider. Even if the guide is doing his best, it is difficult with such a large group. More guides should be hired or more money needs to be invested in headsets.

Annoying that something went wrong during booking and it was made impossible for me to adjust the date fortunately after some annoying phone calls / emails & reviews I was heard and helped but could have been done right away. The trip itself was ok. I thought the group was way too big. 30+ people across a busy square you lose people have to wait for each other. The tour guide though was very friendly and full of knowledge of history and tried very hard ( Nothing but praise for this man ). But he rattled off many informative facts and it did not really form a story / whole for us. Super nice was that we could go in everywhere and that he guided the large group well. Would I choose this organization again. Unfortunately not because of this unpleasant experience during booking. Two employees who just rip you off by phone and in another couple by mail with nothing or 10 or later 25 percent credit on Headout account. There is such a thing as consumer protection in the Netherlands (distance selling) you can't just fob people off with a credit, even if it turns out they did something wrong themselves (like pushing the wrong button). In my case it was a large amount of 185 euros is not nothing! I have immediately contacted and the first response from Headout was look it up! Unfortunately we can not help you. Because we cannot change the data of our supplier. Then in my eyes you are not a suitable organization. And then when 24 hours later it turns out that it actually can???? Believe me I am happy that it is solved but the way ..... no excuses ...

The information passed on by the tour guide can be found on Google. We were expecting something more. Time spent at Basilica Cistern was not enough and didn't have time to take pictures. There was an accident and our group member helped the lady. The guide didn't wait for the doctor to join us nor didn't help him on informing the people concerned at Blue Mosque. There was another lady missing after the Basilica Costern. He didn't do due diligence. I think we spent more time on the first one, second one just hurried through it and last one was an introduction only.

Very expensive for what I got. I could have and should have just done it on my own. The group was too big (42 people), moved slowly, and the guide was impatient. Definitely not worth it!!! Oh, and hard to find the guide. It was Dsign Cafe, but it's really not IN the Dsign cafe--it's OUTSIDE of the Dsign cafe in the street. Everyone goes to the Dsign cafe and asks, and then to the other ticket booths by the Dsign Cafe. It should say MEET YOUR GUIDE ON THE STREET IN FRONT OF THE DSIGN CAFE.

Glad I found this option: the Basilica Cistern, the Bue Mosque, and Agya Sophia were exactly the attractions I wanted to visit in Istanbul. It was convenient to have already the tickets booked for me, and visiting with the group and the guide was much more fun. Unfortunately, the weather was very warm and we stood for quite a long time outside during the explanations and the queues, it was tiring. I would also recommend giving some advice in advance on appropriate clothing for the mosques, as non-Muslim visitors might have no clue about what to wear.

We were a large group for the guide to speak to without a microphone; sometimes it was hard to hear him and we often had to stand around and wait (for people to catch up, go to the bathroom, etc) which was frustrating. I found that the guide was opinionated on the history of the Hagia Sophia (which is fine and can be interesting) but he was not an expert and he didn't do a good job of answering questions. The most valuable part of the experience was the skip-the-line part. I had to pay separately to visit the Hagia Sophia museum afterwards which felt like a bad deal considering how much I had already spent on this.

The whole check-in process was absolute chaos with no one attempting to create organization. Not necessarily the company's fault but because the lines were so long we totally skipped over the Blue mosque and it was only suggested that we go back on our own at a later time. The cistern was under reservation so we went to a different one instead. Although our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the Hagia Sophia

I arrived half an hour earlier and watched the 12:30pm tour going. However there was no guide at the meeting point at the spelcified time of 1pm. and we waited for another 15min. Only another American couple was there of the same tour. Eventually we had to paid by cash to visit the sites by ourselves. Now that I have already launched a request for total refund and is very unhappy with the experience with Headout. Please follow up my refund request. Very bad experience.

Loved the blue mosque, just stunning Hagia Sofia was okay just seemed a bit scruffy and the tour guide spoke for an hour watching the queues build up, I had to leave the group and find a seat. Basilica Costern didn't have enough handrails on the stairs, the room was a bit too dim

Our guide gave great information. Had difficulty hearing him at times. Sometimes his directions of where to meet were not descriptive enough. The group was too large. Ended up not using the ticket for haggia Sophia because the line was too long and it was the last stop. I never did receive the email after booking and even after calling support, never received. I did receive the text (which referenced my correct email address) so thankfully because I had an international plan, was able to receive the text and therefore my tickets. So please work on these aspects and you will receive a better rating.

I liked the tour, but I really advise the revision of the tour description. The description mentioned choosing a slot for each visit and that some sites where closed certain days of the week and in the end we just got the tour in one go, which was my preference. But because the description was not clear I ended up by changing other plans. So please be clear about the tour layout. I am starting to notice that everything single activity I book is poorly explained. Is it a cultural thing?

The guides were awesome, beginning with Cenker who was unbelievably patient with clueless tourists who had all sorts of issues (no pass, wrong date, etc). His tour to the Hagia Sophia was great. He and the other guides were professional and cool handling that, then enthusiastic in their guiding. They were informative and funny when appropriate. They each answered all the questions from tourists. The guide (forget his name) in the Cistern was excellent, as was Mohammed to the Blue Mosque. They each did their best to ensure that our group did not have to wait and had a great experience.

We booked a combo tour to visit Aghia Sofia, the Sultanahmet Mosque and the Basilica Cistern and it was truly a great experience. The staff and our tour guides were passionate and kind and did not treat us as tourists but as friends, sharing their knowledge about the city and its wonders. All very rushed. It cost a lot of money not to spend even 20 minutes at the sites, although two of the places are free to enter. The guide was great but there was a lot of rushing around. All in all, your tour didn't last 3 hours, just the time spent waiting in the queues.

I night a guided tour of the bascillica and just before we went in to tge bacillica the guide informed us that there won't be a guided tour as it was crowded. I mean, that is not what I paid for. If I wanted to go by myself I would never have bought the ticket. It's wasteful to buy this tour and I would absolutely not recommend it to anyone.

I'm really sorry to report but we felt that this experience was not a good one. Our guide was very knowledgeable and very nice however he chose to give us 90% of the information while we were waiting in line which made it impossible to hear anything. I feel we missed over 70% of what he was saying. Either wait until the group egts inside or choose a guide that speaks significantly louder or uses a microphone. It was a very frustrating experience.

Tour guides were lovely, friendly and knowledgeable. However this was not a small group tour, there were at least 30 people on one of the legs. It was impossible to hear what they had to say. The skip the line was laughable, we still waited 20 mins for the basilica which meant we didn't get any time to explore after the tour as we had to be back for the next leg. The times given to us were all 15 mins before the group actually left the first two legs, so we came back 5 mins after the time for the third leg and the group had left already. Some consistency would have been appreciated between get here by times and departure times.
