Skip-the-Line Guided Tour of Jerónimos Monastery

Our guide was a delight, she explained everything great and showed us where to eat the best pastries in Belém. Paula was charming.

Bruno, our guide was excellent! He was able to engage us with interesting stories. Bruno demonstrated great knowledge of Portugese history, and how it related to the world. We were a group of different ages and backrounds and Bruno made it interesting for all of us.

The knowledge of our guide on the history of Portugal and the Monastary, helped us to better understand the culture, art and architecuture of this place.

The meeting point was not easy to find nothing was marked. The lines were ridiculous long, the meeting time should be earlier to get in line earlier. The lines at the Monastery are not clearly marked (this is not your problem).

It was not clear in the confirmation that we had to go to the app and download the individual QR codes needed to get in. We were able to get early with Paula's guidance. She was able to give detailed background/history of the monastery and church. She also kindly guided us to the Pasteis de Belem restaurant.

I had food poisoning for 2 days before the tour, and thought I was well. Shortly after starting the upstairs cloister walk I became a me dizzy again. Our guide thoughtfully got a guard to let me sit in a closed area while she let the rest of our group around. The guard was very nice and got me water. After hydrating, I joined up and finished the tour. Very knowledgeable guide.

Our guide Bruno was excellent but some in our party had problems having their tickets verified so there was a long delay getting that sorted out.

The guide was very good, knowledgeable and pleasant to listen to. He was ready to answer all questions. The only minus was the lack of clarity of the booking process - I don't think it is clear what is and isn't included when you buy on your website. In addition, the tickets I received for the monastery entrance had a completely different date, luckily they were accepted by the guards. Unfortunately, other persons in the group had issues with their tickets, and so we lost about 45 minutes standing around and waiting while the guide was trying to sort things out.

Good experience however the church was closed and the guide had to attend to another group in another language which delayed the group a lot.

Skip the line tour with just the right amount of information and time to take photos and look around. Super friendly guide with excellent English.

The site is magnificent and our guide was very knowledgeable about history and its subject matter.

The views are spectacular. Castle grounds and walls are fun to explore. The camera obscure was a highlight.
