Jerónimos Monastery Skip-the-Line Guided Tour

Our guide Federico gave us a very detailed tour of the monastery and the church. It was a worthwhile experience; if you want a comprehensive and entertaining tour of the premises, Federico is the right person for you!

Our tour guide was very knowledgable, well organized, and sensitive to mobility issues. It was fun.

I didn't like the experience, the guide didn't have a professional attitude. He started by telling the group that they could go and have a look around the neighborhood. Then he told us about himself and his family, the political situation in Portugal, racism, and asked our opinion of the colonies. All this without hardly a word about the Jerónimos monastery! Beside us, the other guides introduced visitors to the site and gave explanations. Then we entered the site. Once again, we didn't get a general introduction to the site or its history. In short, we left the tour and followed other guides who knew how to structure their visit and share their knowledge. This tour was the worst I've ever been on (and extremely expensive for what we got).

Excellent experience. The guide was very nice and well informed and gave us very interesting details of the place. It allowed us to know the historical context of the monastery and other nearby places in Belem. The place is wonderful. Not to be missed by anyone visiting Lisbon.

The guide is a very nice person and has a lot of knowledge about the history and the place. I recommend it.

The appointment is at 9am, but in fact we wait until 9.30am for the guide to find us. When we left the monastery, we had to queue again for the church. The guide was nice, but I wasn't particularly interested. I've been on many guided tours of many places, and this one wasn't the best.

Frederico was a fantastic guide and sooo knowledgeable i can't recommend this tour enough - especially if he is your guide.

Our tour guide Federico was very informative, kind and patient with us as I had some mobility issues with long walks and stairs. He explained the Portuguese history pertaining to the Jeronimos Monastery in great detail making the tour very interesting. He was excellent and we highly recommend him.
