Acropolis Museum: Entry & Audio Tour

an audioguide that can be downloaded and listened to on the phone is useless when there are groups of totally unruly pupils who can't listen to the explanations properly It's a pity, because the museum is well designed, but reading it all becomes tedious.

Ticket purchase was great, very easy, but I had issues with my phone (dropped it and quit working) so getting the actual tickets at the venue was a hassle

Love the museum. I was in awe! Crüe design of the museum itself is a master piece that ties ancient history with modern design in a harmonic way. Audio guide is also great. A great place to explore and to learn

What a great experience! Audio tour was very helpful. My number one recommendation would be to TAKE YOUR TIME! Audio tour doesn't cover everything and there is so much to see. As long as you don't have time restrictions, take it all in and read. Cafe was also nice and comparably priced to town. Underground excavations were also a plus.

Beautiful building! Artefacts presented so well with lots of space to move between them. We visited immediately after visiting the Acropolis and the museum provided so much information and detail. The excavation site was fascinating! A visit is highly recommended

Directions for downloading audio worked well for the 4 of us. And the audio was pretty easy to follow. It was not real clear the entrance to use if skip the line but we just got in with everyone else

The museum was beautiful, well organized and easy to move through. The skip the line option was good to have. The only thing was the audio guide on mobile which was not much easy to use and have to restart the app several times and go from track one to the desired point several times. But was nice to have and browse freely through

This was a very informative tour but it was hard to navigate the audio tour since the tour numbers didn't match the numbers on the exhibits. Correcting this would make the tour experience excellent.

The museum was fantastic! The process of purchasing tickets was clear, but I need to rate lower as the audio guide didn't work. I followed the link to activate it and the site was losing connection. I checked any other sites and it worked, so it wasn't a problem with the Internet connection. So: couldn't enjoy the audio guide. But the museum visit was really fulfilling, and really insightful, I learned a lot!

Ticketing experience was difficult! The mobile app would only show one of two tickets when trying to go through turnstiles. Attendant had to let the second person through.

The audioguide was not updated with the new numbers of the statue. Sometimes it was difficult to find the statues the audio guide describes. The voice was a bit monotone as well. Maybe use 2-3 voices to keep the visitors'attention? The museum is amazing.

The audio tour is very confusing. Particularly if downloaded to your own phone and try to work out how it works. The explanation of how to match what is talking about with the exhibits is sometimes very challenging. More explanation at the beginning as to how to use the audio tour should be available. And after a while, I realized that the audo tour is simply having someone reading the text on the audio tour download! Therefore it is no essectial to listen to it anyway!

The app was downloaded but it didn't work for audio for the Museum. The trip wasn't even showing on the app. Was Very messy and had to hire the headphones and Tablet at the venue so we could hear the audio . Wasted money for audio and Never got it ☹️

The venue had a lot of information about the Greek civilization that I was not knowledgeable about The only issue we had was that some parts where blocked off due to staffing issues Thanks

It was good but I found that the layout of the museum was poor with little bacground information or order to the exhibits. The ticketing service was as expected - I paid and the tickets arrived. No fuss The guide was OK and expensive but I found the RickSteves guide better (AND ITS FREE!)

The Acropolis Museum was an amazing establishment with some incredible displays. The audio tour was very interesting but it was quite difficult to follow the correct route which was described verbally. A marked route on the flooor or a set of footprints would have been easier to follow. The numbered displays which were spoken on the audio were not particularly prominent on the actual displays, which meant that we were often not looking at the correct display which was being described. Despite this we thorough enjoyed the visit and would highly recommend it.

Beautiful exhibit. The staff was very professional and friendly. The audio was a little confusing but that did not detract from the experience.

No wait for tickets, always a blessing. The Acropolis Museum is a must-see. Make sure you get the audio tour or you won't know what you are looking at at some exhibits.

I could easily buy tickets online, BUT I had originally meant to buy tickets for The Acropolis (to go see it) which I realized at the gate that our tickets did not get us into Tue Acropolis... The Slopes etc. only The Museum, it worked out fine, because we very much enjoyed the museum, but it delayed us because we had to buy tickets online quickly at the main North gate to get into The Slopes... there was a line, so luckily after we waited in the skip the line with everyone else that had skip the line tickets the attendant was very kind to tell us that we needed a different ticket, we stood to the side and we were able to buy the proper tickets and then enter. So my suggestion would be to explain that The Acropolis Museum ticket is not also The Acropolis ticket, I did not know to look for something called The Slopes til we got to the front of the skip the line line.😂
