Vienna City Card: Discounts + Public Transport

I had never used this app before, it was a nice discovery because it was very useful for booking visits, reliable, convenient and easy to use. Satisfied! I recommend it!

We were very happy with the card for public transport and discount in musea. We thought the discount would be higher though, because musea in Vienna are expensive. The way to obtain the card via headout was complex, needed a lot of reading of instructions and I am sure some people just can't manage it. very confusing and needed two app's to download. Also for using it, it takes to many steps in the Vienna card app to show your card in the musea for discount. If you compare it to other cities, it is unnecessary complex. Copenhagen City Card was the most easy to obtain and use. It was also more expensive, but it had free access to all musea so worth the money

I'm sure the tickets would have been good had I not had a phone call telling me that my father had died so I had to go straight back to the UK. Well, you do seem to be requesting feedback, so you get the truth.

Its a great thing to have e-ticket for the whole day. I commuted mainly by trams and u-bahn. Spent the money once and didn't care about the rest of the day. It's worth adding transfer from the airport as an additional feature for several euros.

I got around Vienna using public transportation, which I found very organized and punctual. The Vienna card proved to be very useful and functional, in addition to the reductions in some museums

Public transport - no worries about tickets. We use museum discount on the few places, we didn't experience any problems

The card/tickets give you easy of travelling around a massive city. It save time and money knowing you can go anywhere on any public transport.

Vienna city card excellent choice, we used it so much for travel around the city and also to take advantage of discounts in visits to various monuments, palaces and museums. Highly recommended. And very good organization of public transportation.

The search functionality could be improved. For instance, I had seen ads for "Tiergarten Schönbrunn" all over Vienna, and thought that would be searchable but it shows 0 results. Knowing it was a zoo, I tried searching for "Vienna zoo" which showed 374 results (no zoo in the first page of results at least). I think also searching for the German names had been preferred. When we arrived at the zoo (which was found under "Schönberg zoo") the ticket desk could not help me get the Vienna Card discount. I had to change to another line/queue (the "season ticket holder queue"). We queued in that one for 10 minutes before we gave up due to the slow movement (queue time be approx 30-45 minutes) and went and bought non-discounted tickets in the ticket desk. Haus des Meeres thought they had a partnership with the Vienna Card, but when it was time to pay, they weren't. National Library was supposed to be open (and discounted) but when we arrived it was closed for renovations for another week, with no mention in the app. Zoom children museum looked open in the app (I think) but was closed on both weekend days when we were there. In the end, I didn't use a single discount from the card. The transport card worked well, and the random ticket check allowed it, when presented together with an identity card.

We loved being able to use public transport in Vienna whenever it suited us, including the U4 line to go to Schönbrun Palace or the small electric bus of the 2a line. And we got a discount to see the Crown jewels and the National Library. Perfect!

Wonderful city on a human scale , very livable and above all convenient to services, waiting times for buses and weather, for example, do not exceed 4 minutes.You feel free sall anxiety, even in terms of language, there are no problems one way or another you always understand each other.

The website is very easy to use and when I encountered an issue with the codes, the staff at Headout got back to me promptly and helped resolve the problem. There was no need to validate the tickets as they were done automatically. After I purchased the Vienna City cards, I was given discounts to use on my next bookings. I highly recommend this website.

I also felt cheated when I ordered a ticket for the Belvedere, as the purchase proposal was unclear; I thought I was buying what was indicated in large print as tickets for the Belvedere Upper and Low, whereas in the end I unintentionally bought tickets for the Low, as the Upper was fully booked but without any particular indication! So I queued up for the Upper and was turned away... Because despite the timetable, I had to queue for half an hour... So I was a bit disappointed...

Everything The ease of getting around with the interactive map find museums and attractions. Plus, Vienna is a beautiful city.

The fact that you can take advantage of the convenience of public transportation to reach certain attractions. Thanks to the Vienna City Card Schönbrunn Belvedere and Prater are really convenient to reach. Great tool for speeding up time really a guarantee

I like the fact that I can have the ticket in an app on my phone. I don't like how cumbersome the process to buy it is. A few different emails and transfer the number. Then a few different links to get to the ticket. The process for purchasing the Budapest Go card is much simpler and button for ticket is visible straight away.

I think it is the most convenient and economical way to get around the city which is really well served by the different means. It also gives small discounts on different attractions. An added merit because despite a heavy snowfall there were no delays or problems on the line. The city is beautiful.

First up we grabbed a croissant and coffee from a bakery recommended by you guys..a great start! Wolfgang was very knowledgeable with a great sense of humour, and delivered just the right amount of history , folklore and local tips in an interesting g and fun style! Thoroughly enjoyed it and great way to get to know the city of Vienna!

Was a nice way to see the initial and main sights of Vienna from a different birds eye view. A nice short experience for anyone who is in Vienna for a short space of time and to visit the christmas markets that are also in the amusement park

Piece of mind that we can jump on any public transport and avoid ticket queues. We could have done the same transport for less though.
