Royal Palace of Madrid Skip-the-Line Guided Tour

The staff was very cooperative in finding the best solution for us since our reservation the day before was overbooked.

The meeting up instructions were clear, but it was a big group and took a while to get everyone checked off. Some people were late checking in and this held up everything. The palace was very crowded and it took half an hour to get through the security check and to issue the earpieces and get them to work. The tour was very rushed and we didn't really get time to study the rooms we were walking through. The commentary through the earpieces was very patchy. The guide was good but the transmission kept cutting out. Disappointed with the whole experience.

Excellent tour and our guide was very knowledgeable. Being a part of a small group allows us to see more of the palace quicker. Our guide kept us on time and spoke excellent English.

The afternoon tour of the Palace was led by guide Xavier, who was very informative and entertaining. Although there were a lot of crowds he skilfully led us through 28 of the magnificent rooms enabling us to admire them fully. We learned a lot more than if we had gone on our own.

Sympathetic, competent guide. He told the historical information in a very inspiring and exciting way. The palace and its history in its historical context is super interesting. The highlight was the throne room.

The guide was late and most importantly why do you even organise back to back tour with your guides? Do you not expect them to take a toilet break? I think for back to back tours, you should have different guides. If they guide lie and her reason of being late wasn't the last tour having too many people, that would even be worse. The operation centre should send out email to customer for a guide being late. Not everyone has SIM card to call you

Guide was efficient and was very knowledgeable. My only criticism would be the actual initial meeting place. The email and the map said to meet by the Opera metro exit but the guide was outside Starbucks, some 50 metres away over a very busy square, consequently there was some confusion, not a good start. This needs to be recitified.

Ordering the event went smoothly. Our names were then in the system and we no longer had to show a ticket. The tour was impressive. Unfortunately, the acoustics of the hearing aid were not optimal, so we couldn't always understand the guide well. He did his job well and spiced up some of the explanations with humor. The royal dining table was certainly a highlight. Less pleasant was the long lead time from the meeting point at the Opera Square to the start of the tour. All in all, definitely recommended.

The ticket purchase was very straightforward with email and QR code provided, as well as how to find our guide. Our guide, Havier, although working under difficulties at times, patiently provided us with lots of historical information, all done with a nice sense of humour. The rooms of the Royal Palace that we viewed were spectacular and we really appreciated Haviers suggestion to visit the Palace Armory before leaving. It was spectacular as well. Everything was marvelous! The arrchitecture, the displays and the history of the palace was something out of this world! Our guide was very profesional and courteous. Too bad only 3 of us tipped her in a group of about 30 people!

We were a small group, which made for an interesting visit. Our guide was very professional, and her pertinent and precise comments were a pleasure to listen to.

We had a private tour. Beautiful rooms. I like that several Italian architects were invited to contribute to the palace. Great history. It's good to be king!

Everything was perfect. The trip was well organized, and the tour guide was very helpful and informative, she explained every detail with a wide historic background, moreover she made our trip joyful with her nice comments and interpretations

We booked on an english tour. It was last minute changed to english and spanish which really slowed the tour down on a very busy morning.

Our guide was a lovely guy , gave us a lot of information and some funny historical facts. No complaints here, but... by the time of booking on the website it says that you are paying for the 1,5 hour guided Royal Palace Tour, so we've expected to spend all that time within the palace... In reality, the first half an hour we spend outside. And even though we've been told an interesting stories during that time, an ACTUAL TOUR throughout the Palace only lasted an hour and was a bit speedy, so we didn't have enough time to stop for a few minutes for example and look into details like furniture or royal family silverware etc. Really wish we could spend more time there...

Our tour guide, Javier, was exceptional! He was extremely knowledgeable about Spanish Royalty and the history of the Royal Palace and all the inhabitants. Information was interesting and enlightening. A must see!

Guide was so kind and did a great job, awesome time of day to go (10am) as the crowds were very limited - the palace was BEAUTIFUL!!!
