Exclusive Access to King's Private Apartments: Guided Tour with Palace of Versailles Tickets

The tour was very nice and we got to see the top floors of the king's apartment . The guide was very friendly and the whole castle is still very preserved . It was extremely fun & I definitely recommend going there and getting the guide . + You get to skip the lines . <°{}°>

We tried to buy the €20 tickets but they were sold out so had to buy the €40 tickets for the guided tour of the King's Apartments. We were 25 mins early and stood in the 10.30 queue. Our tickets were checked by a staff member whilst we were in the long queue and we continued to wait. When we reached the front, the staff member there told us we were in the wrong queue, and sent us over to another part of the Palace. There were no signs to say which was the King's Apartment entrance. This meant we were now 10 minutes late for the guided tour, and someone had to take us through the apartments, to catch up with the rest of the group. The audio guide was excellent and very clear, which was important for me, as I am hearing impaired, and wear hearing aids. After the tour we visited other parts of the Palace, and then tried to enter the gardens. This cost us another €12 each as it was, apparently, a 'musical extravaganza.' This description was laughable, as there were no live musicians, but a continuously repeating recording of the same three pieces of music. We really feel we had a raw deal, since paying the price of €40, the gardens, (which are usually free) should have been included , regardless of your piped recordings. A very disappointing day indeed.

The guide was brilliant, and the tour splendid! The only downside was that the other guides rushed us as we entered the rooms, sometimes showing a lack of politeness towards our young guide.

The guide we had was very good and knew the history of the place perfectly, you could tell she lived and loved history.

The kindness and helpfulness of the lovely guide who was able toput us in the moment at various locations. As someone who needs a stick to walk I found that she was extreme;y courteous and helpful to me. The other staff at Versailles were also very kind and helpful.

The tour gave us more experiences than an ussualy ticket, but also, I consider it should have included Trianon into this price. Versailles is great, prices are huge.

very good guide who took us on a good trip back in time. His comments were always relevant and full of interesting anecdotes. We lost no time

Good value for Money and informative ....tike was just about right.....but watch the meeting location. The GPS marker on yhe ticket takes you to the street side of the building to get your guide ....it should take you to the palace side through the gates. This was very confusing.

It was fascinating. I bought it as a gift for my own birthday and I couldn't be happier. The guide was amazing, and it was fantastic to access places where most of the public can't visit.

The ticketing experience was excellent and easy. On-site however, my small group of 5 were told to join what turned out to be the wrong line and after wasting nearly 15 minutes in that line, we were told at the top of the line by the same person who put us in that line that it was now the wrong line. We therefore missed about 20 minutes of the guided tour but was able to go and view the miissed portions on our own. We had a great time on the tour!

Experience good hostess guide from outside to meeting place staff were very pro kindness. But inside for the visit the price is expensive for just visit the rooms very quickly finished

My 2nd experience with headout, everything was perfect. Very simple booking, email reminder of the appointment, perfect meeting place, punctuality, attentive guide, very rewarding guided tour. I'd recommend

The visit was great! Unfortunately, at the BIG PRICE we paid, we were very disappointed to find that the visit to the Gardens was not included when we were supposed to have a package where everything was included, including the visit to the garden.....Please clarify on your part.

Just to explain the issue with the guide: the original guide assigned to us did not make it due to traffic issues and we were assigned a new guide but had to start the tour late. There were no issues with the replacement guide. The highlight of the experience was definitely the chance to skip the queues and also enter the chapel for a more private visit.

I appreciated the flexibility over changing tickets to the next day following the evacuation of the Palace on the afternoon of our tour. We want to visit again for longer in the future.

The tour and history lesson from the guide was interesting! My suggestion to fellow travelers is to choose a weekday rather than weekend for a tour to be able to see the works of art without too many people in the rooms.

The palace is obviously impressive but having access to the private areas was very special. Our guide was amazing with her knowledge and attention to details during the tour.

The king's apartments are interesting. However, the ticket says "guided tour of the château with the king's apartments". However, the 1h30 guided tour only includes the king's apartments, not the rest (Ice Palace, reception rooms, etc.). The rest is to be visited on your own, without a guide or audio guide (unless you pay again).
