The queue was well organised and short for the tower itself. The tower is amazing, an unbelievable experience and well worth it, especially for the uniqueness and views. It is a must to go and visit. The cathedral is stunning, would recommend a visit to that as well, especially the wonderful artwork. The baptistery is wonderfully simple and atmospheric. The two musuems are worth the money and contain some amazing artwork. The experience overall was worth the money. I had wonderful time and didn't even see everything! Definitely would return one day! The ticketing is very simple too, only had to queue for a short period for the tower.

The purchase of the tickets worked wonderfully. Unfortunately, the meeting point was poorly described. Although we used the GPS data to navigate, we were wrong. Thanks to a short sprint and very friendly staff, we were a little late but still managed to get into the tower. Tip: the map checkpoint is next to the left-luggage office! All luggage is not allowed on the tower!!! Not even small belt bags or similar. Must be handed in!

The experience was unique. As I was in Pisa for 3 weeks, I had hoped to visit the cathedral, the Baptistery and the Composanto on different days. This was not possible with this ticket. So I did everything in one afternoon and evening, which is quite intense. But climbing the tower was the clear highlight. Feeling the inclination in the tower is special. Fun and a bit of a challenge. Really recommendable.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa is exceptional, and a visit is a must if you really want to appreciate its steepness. You can really feel it on the way up. We'd bought tickets for the cathedral, but on that day it was closed due to a service, which was a shame. They shouldn't sell tickets on days when you can't visit.

The people train was easy to use and made the trip so easy to navigate. we ordered our tickets in advance to ensure that we could make a day of our trip. Magnificent monuments and superb views from the top of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, but a negative point with regard to the audiophone, as there were 4 of us and we didn't take advantage of it as it can only be downloaded to one phone.

Arrive a few minutes before your scheduled entry time and display your ticket at the entrance near the Porta Santa Maria, the main gateway to the square.

Leaning Tower of Pisa

As you step inside this 12th-century Romanesque marvel, you’ll begin your ascent up the 273 spiraling stone steps. With each step, the tilt of the tower becomes more noticeable, creating a surreal sense of balance and perspective. At the top, you’re rewarded with breathtaking views, from the rooftops of terracotta homes to the lush, surrounding Tuscan countryside.

After your climb, take time to explore the adjacent Pisa Cathedral, included in your ticket. What's not allowed

Since the Cathedral is a place of worship, all guests must wear clothing that covers their shoulders and knees.

In order to preserve the tower, metal objects, bags, and containers are not allowed in.

Accessibility

The climb involves 273 steep steps with no elevators, so it is not accessible for wheelchair users and guests with cardiovascular issues.

For safety reasons, children under 8 are not allowed to climb, and those aged 8-18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Additional information

Cathedral access is free but requires a timed pass if visited on its own—this pass is automatically included with any Pisa Complex ticket, including Tower entry.

Tickets are timed for the Leaning Tower. Please check the time of your visit. If you are late, you will not be allowed in.

The selected date and time apply only to the Tower climb; other monuments can be visited on the same day or anytime within a year from that date.

Due to high demand, your chosen time slot may not be available for the Tower climb: if this happens you will be allocated a new slot an hour before or after your original choice. Please note that you will only be allowed at the top of the tower for 30 minutes.
