Visiting the Uffizi Gallery on September 6th was the highlight of my stay in Florence. We wandered through rooms filled with Renaissance masterpieces, each more breathtaking than the last. I especially loved Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Primavera—standing before them felt surreal. The gallery was busy, but once inside, the flow was smooth and well-organized. Our guide was both knowledgeable and engaging, sharing stories that brought the art and history to life without being overwhelming. I’d highly recommend booking tickets in advance and wearing comfortable shoes, since there’s quite a bit of walking and stair climbing involved.

I liked the fact that I arrived exactly on time and almost did not stand in a long line. When I presented my e-ticket I was directed to the ticket office and was given a paper ticket. After that I went with everyone else and started the inspection. I rented an audio guide, with which I spent about 6 hours in the Gallery, going around all the exhibits and all the halls and listening to all the explanations. The impressions are absolutely amazing!

I was pleased that it was quick and easy to collect my tickets from gate 3. It wasn't too crowded except in front of Botticelli's Birth of Venus, which was no surprise. We very much enjoyed the temporary exhibition too. We were grateful for the signs offering a quick exit when we were too tired to stay longer. A wonderful experience, thank you.

Surprisingly, I didn't even notice the crowd. There is so much to see and admire. You go back in time. You see the masterpieces of so many famous artists at one place. It's totally worth it!

Never found any guide; maybe I misundertood? We were 20 minutes early and there were dozens of tours outside the building that added confusion, but most already had their audio equipment on, and each one we approached was not our tour. We walked in with our tickets. There was no indication that we were skipping any lines.

Amazing art collection and well designed layout, be prepared to spend 2-3 hrs inside. Though they say buy tickets in advance and jump queue on our visit at 11am it was chaos as it was a free for all with no organisation of time slots. Queue was much smaller at 2pm so I would go in the afternoon as less congested
