It was great being able to get the tickets on line so quickly. It was a pretty easy process and being able to get the instructions in English was great. The Osaka Castle was amazing. Even though it was modernised and had been turned into a museum I got a sense of what an amazing fortress it had once been. The historical photos of the castle from the end of the Edo era gave an insight into how fortified the castle had been. The museum artifices and historical documentation was really good and I could have stayed for hours longer soaking up every display. We were time bound however, but still wouldn't have missed it, as so many of the Edo period castles were destroyed by fire and not rebuilt which is a shame as it is such a fascinating period in Japan's history. In my view a absolute must see-particularly beautiful during the blossom festival

I bought the ticket 2 minutes before entering the Castle which avoided the massive queue of people, and walked straight in. The online process Wes really quick and easy.

It was great! Had so many inclusions ! We enjoyed the experiences more than anything! Got to go to a Giant ferris wheel, ride on the Osaka metro. Enjoyed the Osaka castle. There were probably few other things I'm sure we missed. Wish it had a little more specifics about what it included especially with the activities and Trains.. for example did you know it doesn't include the entirety of the nankai line? Especially out to izumisano. More details on what's included would be great so people who like to be prepared know what they're in for and can plan and accommodate.

  • Taking inspiration from the Taisho period, this attraction is an important historical heritage site, built in Ancient Japan. Explore Osaka Castle’s historical grounds at your own time and pace. This experience is one that shouldn’t be missed while in Osaka. In 1583, Hideyoshi Toyotomi began trying to build the Osaka Castle on the site of Ishiyama Hongaji, which was suitable to inhabit a ruler.

After the death of Hideyoshi’s death, the regime moved to the Tokugawa family and the Osaka Castle fell in 1615 at Osaka Natsunokin. This heritage site was then rebuilt under the order of the second Shogun Hidetada Tokugawa, which took around 10 years. This site played a major role as the base of the Western government for the Shogun. Featuring a spectacular light-up and Japanese historical treasures, this Osaka Castle illumination displays over 3 million colorful LED lights on a 300cm long picture scroll. Don’t miss this 430-year-old edifice in Osaka.
