The great thing is that you don’t need to be an art expert. In fact, maybe it’s better not to be. Because at the d’Orsay, you let your emotions guide you more than your mind. You find yourself stopping in front of a painting longer than expected, without really knowing why. And that’s okay. And then there’s that iconic view from the clock. You look out and see Paris filtered through time, as if you were watching the city from another era. In that moment, you realize that the museum isn’t just inside… it’s also outside, in the city that keeps on living. The Musée d’Orsay is one of those places you don’t just “visit.” You walk through it, and somehow it walks through you. When you leave, you might be tired, but it’s a beautiful, fulfilling kind of tiredness. Like after something that has truly left a mark on you.

A wonderful museum with a high quality audio guide which permits wandering around and listen to facts about whatever item you're interested in. Logistically the entrance worked very well and the venue offers a nice atmosphere with clean facilities and a beautiful historic building.
