Took my mom for her birthday (she’s a BIG ocean nerd) and wow, she was soooo happy. The crew (shoutout to Kiki and Jim!) were seriously the NICEST, kept cracking jokes and even spotted a sea turtle for us. We sat up front and the wind got wild, so bring a hair tie if you’ve got long hair, trust me. Glass bottom was cooler than I expected, could see all kinds of fish. Only thing, you can’t bring food aboard, but they have water. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Family trip with kids (ages 7 & 10). They LOVED looking through the glass at the bottom, esp my youngest who kept yelling 'fish!!' every 2 mins. Crew was chill, answered like 80 questions (thanks for patience, Brandon). Didn’t see dolphins but saw a turtle and tons of colorful fish. Boat was a bit packed tho, so try to get there a little early for the best spots.

Wasn’t expecting much tbh, but this was actually super cool. The glass bottom thing makes you feel like you're in an aquarium, but you’re out on the real ocean. Staff kept us laughing the whole time. Only downside: boat rocks a lot when windy, so if you get seasick maybe take something before.

Went solo and honestly, it was the highlight of my trip. The crew made me feel so welcome, and the views through the glass panels were wild. I got some cool pics (outside only, no glass panel photos allowed apparently). Just wish the ride was a little longer, but totally worth it.

Fun trip for our whole group (6 of us). The guides knew soooo much about sea life and local history, like random facts about turtles and volcanic rocks. Glass was a little foggy in spots but still got some good views. Would go again but maybe in the morning when it’s less busy.

Make your way to the Hawaii Glass Bottom Boats dock at least 15-min before the scheduled start time of your tour and check in with the crew before boarding. After a quick safety briefing, settle in with complimentary water or juice as the boat prepares to depart for the fireworks viewing area.

What to bring

If you’re someone who gets seasick (or just want to play it safe), take your usual motion sickness meds about two hours before the cruise.

What’s not allowed

Motorized wheelchairs and scooters can't be brought aboard.

Large bags, suitcases, and oversized luggage aren’t permitted.

No smoking, vaping, or use of e-cigarettes during the cruise.

Alcohol and illegal substances are strictly prohibited.

Accessibility

You’re welcome to bring a collapsible wheelchair or walker if needed.

Just a heads-up: the ramp isn’t fully wheelchair accessible.

You need to be able to step up onto the ramp, walk across it, and step down into the boat before getting seated.

The fireworks cruise happens every Friday, all year long.

Transportation is not provided to the dock, so be sure to map out your route ahead of time.

Plan to arrive at the harbor at least 15-min early so you’re ready to board on time.

Kids aged 2 and under ride free with a parent, making it a fun option for families.

If you’re hoping to see whales, the best time to catch them is between November and May.

We need a minimum of 10 guests to set sail. If the tour doesn’t fill up, you’ll have the option to reschedule or get a full refund.
