The day ran extremely smoothly and was very well organised with very little waiting time between the boat across teh lake, the bus and then the boat on Doubtful Sound. Same applied for the return trip. Doubtful Sound is beautiful and although it maybe not quite as dramatic as Milford Sound, it certainly makes up for it for being a lot more quieter, we were the only boat on the day we went. We loved the part when they turn the motors off and ask everyone to enjoy the silence. The food and drinks on board were very good and reasonably priced. Commentary was great on each of the three legs of our journey. A thoughly enjoyable day and highluy recommended for those that want to get away from the croiwds of Milford Sound.

Our cruise was perfect. Capt spotted dolphins almost immediately and headed over towards them. The onboard announcer was clear and interesting. Her knowledge and points of interest always seemed to get the passengers moving around the vessel. Our Capt was one of the few to pull in at a number of interesting points along the way and gave a good number a nice "Glacial Facial" along the way. Although the bar level wasn't serving, it was a great spot to see the whole of the sound from. Thoroughly recommend a cruise on this vessel to anyone. Smaller than some of the others but very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Den mindre båten føltes mer som et eventyr enn et cruise. Den rolige turen oppover fjorden ga oss tid til å nyte det fantastiske landskapet. Elsket smaken av Tasmanhavet. Delfinene, selene og «isbre-ansiktsbehandlingen» på returen var fantastiske. Guidingen om bord var akkurat passe og lot fjorden tale for seg selv. Et høydepunkt i New Zealand for oss.

Milford Sound is impressive. And we enjoyed all parts of the cruise - transportation with interesting insights, short scenic stops along the way and on the boat, great activities, very friendly staff - all great. Totally recommend!

Dette var høydepunktet på turen vår!! Å tilbringe dagen med å beundre et landskap som nesten ikke virker ekte!! Dette må du ikke gå glipp av! Jeg anbefaler å velge de mindre båtene fremfor de større. Det eneste du må være oppmerksom på er at selskapet Head Out, som hadde ansvaret for å få bussen vår til stedet, ikke hadde full kontroll. De ba oss være ved bussholdeplassen kl. 06.30–06.45, men det var ikke riktig tidspunkt. Det skulle egentlig ikke være før kl. 07.30. De fortalte oss også at det bare ville være 15 personer på båten, men det var faktisk rundt 50. Sjåføren (Neville) fra Altitude var FANTASTISK! Veldig informativ!! Båten Miter var også flott! Så bare ikke bruk Head Out for å bestille denne turen. Men sørg for å gjøre det! Verdt den lange kjøreturen!!!
