What to expect

Banya na Dache, in the forests near Vitosha

Hidden in nature just outside Sofia, Banya na Dache is a traditional Northern Banya setting surrounded by forest and mountain views.

Features

A gentle warm-up in the wood-fired steam room introduces the soft, dense steam that characterizes this authentic Northern Banya, which focuses on enveloping warmth rather than extreme dry heat.

A personal banya master trained in Saint Petersburg provides personalized guidance throughout, adjusting the intensity and pacing of the ritual to match your comfort level and preferences.

Two guided traditional parenie rituals with oak veniks take place in the exclusive wood-fired steam room, where the master uses warmed oak branches to direct steam over your body in a structured sequence.

Between steaming rounds, you can step outside to use the outdoor cold plunge, then rest in private relaxation areas that open to forest and mountain views of Vitosha.

A final steaming session gently closes the thermal cycle, after which you sit down for traditional tea with honey, giving you time to unwind and absorb the effects of the full Northern Banya experience.

Throughout the visit, you have a fully private 3-hour Northern Banya experience, including exclusive use of the wood-fired steam room, outdoor cold plunge, and relaxation spaces around the banya.
