Vi hadde massevis av problemer med å finne frem til kontoret der vi skulle møte guiden vår. Google maps fungerte ikke særlig bra, og vi gikk i sirkler rundt Markusplassen. Vi spurte militæret, politiet og andre butikkeiere om hjelp, men til slutt fant vi kontoret 30 minutter etter at turen vår hadde gått til Basilikaen. Heldigvis klarte vi å ta igjen følget vårt i basilikaen. Av en eller annen grunn måtte de av oss som skulle på gondoltur gjennom Dogepalasset, forlate gruppen og komme tilbake på egen hånd senere for å se resten av omvisningen. Tidspunktet virket å være for stramt. Guiden var flott, men timingen var helt feil hele dagen. Da vi tok gondolen, brukte gondolieren hele tiden tiden på å kjefte på de andre gondolførerne og spøke med dem. Det var som en dårlig Disneyland-tur. Vi var den ene gondolen etter den andre som bare kjørte i ring tilbake til møtestedet. Jeg tror det eneste som ble vist oss, var hvor Mozart hadde bodd.
