De zangers waren uitzonderlijk. Het decor was prachtig. Aan het einde waren onze zakdoeken helemaal volgeschreven. De sfeer in het theater is echt uniek en een fantastische ervaring die we zeker nog eens willen beleven.

Les Misérables in Londen zien stond al jaren op mijn bucketlist en het overtrof al mijn verwachtingen. Het verhaal behoeft geen introductie, maar wat me echt raakte was hoe levendig het op het podium aanvoelde – door de kracht van de nummers, de precisie van de cast en het pure zelfvertrouwen van de productie. Ik ben een grote musicalfan en heb het geluk gehad om overal ter wereld voorstellingen te zien, en ik kan zonder aarzelen zeggen dat deze voorstelling gemakkelijk tot mijn top vijf behoort. Tegen de achtergrond van het turbulente revolutionaire Frankrijk neemt de musical je mee in het leven van mensen die worstelen met liefde, verlies, geloof en de geschiedenis zelf. Het is emotioneel meeslepend, maar nooit hol. Als je tijd hebt om slechts één musical in Londen te zien, kies dan voor Les Misérables. Sommige klassiekers zijn niet voor niets beroemd – en deze verdient nog steeds elke noot van zijn reputatie.

Het is een zeer gezinsvriendelijke musical, wat ook bleek uit het grootste deel van het publiek, aangezien het verhaal niet al te ingewikkeld is, maar wel interessant. Zowel de talrijke kinderen als de volwassen acteurs hebben een bewonderenswaardige prestatie geleverd. Elke scène was vermakelijk, van het begin tot de laatste seconde. Ik heb de musical voor het eerst in Londen gezien en was erg onder de indruk! Ook de muziek was prachtig en de meeste liedjes waren mij nog onbekend, op ongeveer twee nummers na. Ik zat weliswaar op de laatste rij, maar had toch goed zicht op het hele podium.

Geweldig toneelstuk, geweldige acteurs, veel gelachen! Als je de problemen van alledag even wilt vergeten en het theater met een glimlach op je gezicht wilt verlaten, dan is dit het toneelstuk voor jou! Probeer indien mogelijk een plaats op de eerste rijen dicht bij het podium te bemachtigen: dan kun je er nog meer van genieten. Ik had het geluk op de tweede rij te zitten! Echt hilarisch!

De acteurs waren heel geloofwaardig, de timing was top en de komische noot was lekker luchtig en verfrissend! De decors waren geweldig, maar de decorwisselingen waren echt ongelooflijk! Het was net een dans en zelfs dat was interessant om te zien. Iedereen bleef de hele tijd in zijn rol, waar ze ook waren. De ruimte werd supergoed benut en het was echt heel vermakelijk.

Vanaf het moment dat de muziek begon, was ik volledig in de ban. De krachtige zang, vooral van het Spook en Christine, bezorgde me kippenvel en maakte de emoties ongelooflijk echt. Het decorontwerp en de speciale effecten waren adembenemend, vooral de beroemde kroonluchter-scène, die het theater tot leven bracht. Het feit dat ik in Londen was, waar deze musical zo'n rijke geschiedenis heeft, maakte de ervaring nog specialer. Het was niet zomaar een show, het voelde alsof ik in een andere wereld stapte, en het heeft een blijvende indruk op me gemaakt die ik nooit zal vergeten.

De voorstelling was absoluut verbluffend, de acteurs speelden hun rol perfect, de beelden waren uniek en dan natuurlijk de muziek... wauw... een echte aanrader, minstens één keer in je leven!
