The crowds at the Vatican weren't too bad as we chose to start our visit at 4 pm or so. After about 2 hours, we were ready for a break and a snack. I was disappointed to find no tables with chairs at them; it was standing room only. It's not much of a break if you have to stand through it! Upon leaving the Vatican, we were approached by a taxi driver who asked if we wanted to engage him. We said yes and got in his taxi. To make a long story short, he overcharged us for the ride and, after I had given him a €50 note, he said I had only given him a €10. I was sure I had given him €50 to pay the €48 we owed. He said no, I had only given him a €10. Feeling rushed, flustered and tired after our time at the Vatican, I gave him the benefit of the doubt, only to later discover I had given him €50 and then another €20 and 3 - €10 Euro notes. Plus, I tipped him €5 Euros!! So in the end I had given him €105 Euros for an inflated taxi ride of €48. I felt like such an idiot, but in reality I had been intentionally scammed by a taxi driver, who targets patrons leaving the Vatican. Needless to say, this event left a very sour taste in my mouth regarding my Vatican visit.

We had an amazing fast-track experience in Rome with Headout while visiting the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and the Pantheon. Everything was extremely well organized from start to finish, and having guides help us through the entrances made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. We skipped the massive queues and got inside surprisingly fast, which gave us much more time to actually enjoy the places instead of waiting outside for hours. Inside the Vatican Museums, we explored incredible galleries filled with sculptures, paintings, and centuries of history before reaching the Sistine Chapel. Seeing Michelangelo’s famous ceiling in person was honestly breathtaking and completely different from seeing it in pictures. The atmosphere inside the chapel felt surreal and unforgettable. We also visited the Pantheon, which was another huge highlight of the day. The architecture, the enormous dome, and the history behind the building were genuinely impressive. Overall, the experience felt very premium, comfortable, and memorable, and the fast-track access with Headout made exploring these iconic places in Rome so much easier and more enjoyable.

Dude al comprar ya que era la primera vez que compraba con un intermediario, pero quedé 100% satisfecha con headout. El punto de encuentro es fácil de identificar, el personal al llegar es sumaramable y lo que más me gustó es que entramos rapidísimo a los museos del Vaticano. Sin duda volvería a comprar con headout.

L'ufficio dell'azienda è gestito molto bene da un gruppo di ragazzi molto cordiali e professionali. Il salta la fila ,perfetto,si entra in 10 minuti nonostante la lunga fila. I musei vaticani .....uno spettacolo!!

The Vatican museum and Sistine chapel are beautiful with something to see around every corner. It is a lot of walking and not very many seats so I would bare that in mind. We were lucky that it was not too crowded although the Sistine Chapel itself was very busy. The skip the line tickets were fantastic and our host Jana was very good. She gave us useful information, was kind and funny. I would recommend using this service.

Puntualità al punto d'incontro ed informazioni chiare. Numero ristretto di clienti, quindi ben gestiti dall'accompagnatore. Distanza contenuta dall'ingresso ai musei. Sicuramente una buona organizzazione anche per i contatti ed informazioni ricevuti con Whatsapp. Non è esattamente un salta la fila, in realtà circa 15 minuti di attesa, comunque decisamente meno della fila con ingresso ordinario di almeno 75 minuti

Met de Roma Pass heb je gratis toegang tot 1 bezienswaardigheid naar keuze, korting op de toegang tot andere belangrijke attracties en onbeperkt gratis gebruik van het openbaar vervoer in de stad. De pas heeft een geldigheid van 48 uur zodat je voldoende tijd hebt om historische plaatsen zoals het Colosseum, Galleria Borghese, Circus Maximus en nog veel meer te bezoeken.

Wat niet is toegestaan

Vaticaanse Musea

Fotografie en het gebruik van mobiele telefoons zijn strikt verboden in de Sixtijnse Kapel.

Bagage en/of grote tassen zijn niet toegestaan in de zaal. Je kunt je tassen afgeven bij de gratis garderobeservice.

Huisdieren en andere kleine dieren zijn niet toegestaan in de zaal, behalve geleidehonden.

Het wordt aanbevolen tatoeages en andere op vergelijkbare wijze zichtbare onderscheidende persoonlijke tekens te bedekken.

Toegankelijkheid

Vaticaanse Musea

Voor gasten met documentatie over handicaps en zichtbare handicaps is de toegang gratis, samen met een extra kaartje voor 1 begeleider.

Rolstoelen zijn te huur in de lobby.

Extra informatie

De meeste musea zijn over het algemeen op maandag gesloten, behalve het Colosseum (reserveren verplicht), Mercati di Traiano, Musei Capitolini en Museo dell'Ara Pacis.

Op 25 december, 1 januari en 1 mei zijn bijna alle musea gesloten.

Vaticaanse Musea

Je vindt de medewerker op het ontmoetingspunt dat op de voucher staat vermeld, en deze persoon zal helpen bij het inchecken. Ga niet direct naar de ingang van het Vaticaans Museum.

Let op: de gekozen tijd moet worden gerespecteerd en laatkomers worden niet toegelaten.

Hoewel het niet bij deze tickets is inbegrepen, is de toegang tot de Sint-Pietersbasiliek gratis. Tijdens het hoogseizoen kan er echter een wachtrij ontstaan.

Comfortabele schoenen worden aanbevolen.

Gelieve gepast gekleed te gaan. Mouwloze blouses, minirokken, korte broeken en hoeden zijn niet toegestaan. Knieën en schouders MOETEN bedekt zijn voor alle gasten.

Roma Pass

De pas moet tijdens de eerste rit met het openbaar vervoer worden geactiveerd, ook als je hem al voor de toegang van een museum hebt gebruikt.

In de nationale musea en archeologische sites (inclusief het Colosseum) is de toegang op de eerste zondag van de maand voor iedereen gratis.

Je ontvangt je voucher direct per e-mail.

Laat bij het ticket-inwisselpunt de voucher op je mobiele telefoon zien, samen met een geldig identiteitsbewijs met foto.

Zorg dat je 15 minuten voor je geplande bezoek bij de ontmoetingsplaats aanwezig bent om eventuele vertraging te voorkomen.
