De rij was erg lang ondanks dat ik van tevoren een kaartje had gekocht. Ik was er om 9:30 toen het openging en stond toch nog meer dan een uur in de rij. Maar eenmaal binnen was de rij het meteen waard. Absoluut prachtig klooster! Erg fascinerend. Niet missen!

We hielden van beide plekken, de Belemtoren en het Jeronimusklooster. Beide uniek en prachtig! Een bezoek waard om deze geweldige architectuur te zien! Waar we niet van hielden was de wachtrij. We hebben zo'n 3-4 uur in het park gewacht tot de rij voor het klooster wat lichter werd, om vervolgens nog eens 30 minuten in de rij te staan. Ondertussen bezochten we het Cultureel Centrum en het museum voor Hedendaagse Kunst tegenover het park met stukken van Dalí en Picasso.

De toren van Belém had een interessante geschiedenis en het uitzicht vanaf de toren was spectaculair. We hebben niet eens de moeite genomen om naar het klooster te gaan omdat de rij zo lang was. Het lijkt erop dat iedereen er beter van zou worden als de toegang werd getimed, zodat mensen niet uren in de rij hoeven te staan.

Het klooster is prachtig, helemaal de moeite waard. Het ticket was gekocht voor een bepaalde tijd, maar we moesten een uur wachten in de rij. Het is beter om na 14.00 uur te gaan, dan is er minder wachttijd in zowel de toren als het klooster.
