I've also never been in a gondola during a thunderstorm while it was stopped. But the breathtaking panorama, with so many 4,000-meter peaks and several glaciers, is truly impressive. It's definitely worth it.

We booked a tour because we were afraid that it would be difficult to navigate on our own. The tour was cancelled, so we bought the cable car tickets online. How fortunate for us that the tour was cancelled! The cable car was so easy to use, and we saved a lot of money by booking ourselves. We were able to spend the day at our leisure, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I would highly recommend booking this on your trip to Zermatt.

The ease of booking tickets to the hop off hop on was extremely good. Everything from start to finish was clean and signposted for ease of use. You cannot put into words the views other than absolutely jaw droppingly AMAZING. I will and would recommend anybody to visit this place and not fall in love with Zermatt and the Matterhorn.

In the end, everything went well, but when you buy it, it says the hours are from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. But in the summer, the hours start at 5:50 AM, and we weren't sure if we would get in with Headout. But it did let us in, and everything was perfectly fine. We were able to do the mountain we wanted and saved about 10 euros compared to the official price.

You do not get any physical tickets or qr codes but you have to get the booking reference and then show them at the ticket desk. They then give you the tickets. I was skeptical but it worked. Trip was Awsome highly recommend

Last week
We went early, queued before it opened & had the best views without the crowds - absolutely stunning! Wonderful seeing all the different peaks from up there along with climbers heading further up. I don't necessarily agree with the need to ski in August but some were being pulled up (& down!) by snow mobiles - spoilt the tranquility really. The ice caves were something else, wow! The sculptures were amazing! Worth every penny (even the 2chf to use the loo, which you get back if you buy anything even a coffee)
