About Machu Picchu
Machu Picchu isn’t just 15-century ruins on a hill—it’s 32,592 acres of Incan genius. Wedged between the Andes and Amazon, this city boasts solstice-tracking temples, microclimate farming, and a water system that still works. Despite its grand nature, it was occupied for only a century before being mysteriously abandoned—making it both an archaeological treasure and history's most elaborate ghost town.
