Good day everyone, I have visited Windsor Castle for the first time. I was really impressed. A hysterical palace, so nice, a beautiful garden and inside the castle many pieces of art so well conserved. A interesting experience. I recommend to everyone to visit it.

Elegimos la opción sin traslado ya que quisimos experimentar el transporte público de la zona, fue muy fácil llegar. El tour es muy interesante y el audio guía es bastante útil, recomendaría tener consideradas unas 4 horas para poder realizar una visita completa ya que nosotros estimamos menos y no logramos completarlo. Muy recomendado!!

Had a great day, queues for the dolls house were long but ok, disappointed that we got moved along to quickly when visiting The Queen which was the main reason to visit. Staff were all very friendly and helpful

Excellent tour. Instructions given was precise Got the train on time Entrance to the castle was smooth and uncomplicated The castle itself was awesome, breathtaking and astounding. The staff were very helpful. The grounds were clean and very organized. I had a great day out. Thank you.

Getting started

Begin by validating your entry ticket at Windsor Castle's main entrance and going through security checks. If your option includes transfers, travel from London by round-trip train or AC coach and make your way to the castle on arrival. Collect your multimedia guide or join your Blue Badge guide, then proceed through security before you start exploring.

Windsor Castle

Step inside one of the official residences of the British monarch and explore at your own pace or with a guide, depending on the option selected. Move through the castle's historic interiors and ceremonial spaces while your guide or audio guide shares context about royal life, ceremonies, and the building's evolution.

What’s not allowed

Photography is strictly prohibited inside Windsor Castle.

Large backpacks and pushchairs are not permitted inside the State Apartments.

Due to venue restrictions, your pets are not permitted on this experience.

Accessibility

This experience is partially wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible.

For your convenience, your guide dogs are welcome at the venue.

Additional information

The Semi-State Rooms usually open from autumn to spring each year. They are currently closed until autumn 2026.

Windsor Castle is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. St. George’s Chapel at Windsor is closed to visitors on Sundays and on June 12, 2026. On some days, the State Apartments may also be closed.

Windsor Castle will be completely closed from June 14-June 15, 2026.

If you upgrade to include train transfers, note that you must change trains at Slough. A full information pack containing your train and Windsor Castle ticket will be emailed to you 10 days before you travel.

The exact departure point for your AC coach tour will be shared with you after you book your tickets.
