Die Tour zur Kapelle mit dem verschleierten Jesus war einzigartig! Sehr zu empfehlen. Am Treffpunkt vor der Kapelle wurden Audioguides verteilt und die Führerin hat im sehr gut verständlichem englisch über die Entstehung und der Geschichte erzählt. Wir hatten ausreichend Zeit all die schönen Statuen, Gemälde, den Fussboden mit seinem Mosaik zu betrachten. Verbesserungswürdig ist die App. Die Tickets konnten dort nicht geladen werden. Dafür bekam ich auf Nachfrage via Chat umgehend eine Mail mit den Qr Codes. Diese sind wichtig um an der Tour teilnehmen zu dürfen. Führung = Top Service = Top Atracktion = Top App = verbesserungswürdig

Ottima esperienza. La guida Patrizia molto preparata e cordiale e anche il suo collaboratore. Il tempo della visita ad ammirare l'opera è necessariamente limitato e nonostante ciò sia prima che al termine del tour lei è stata molto disponibile ed esaustiva nel completare la spiegazione! Molto soddisfatta di tutta l'organizzazione.

Mi era rimasta in sospeso proprio questa visita al Cristo Velato, e ogni volta che pensavo a Napoli sentivo il rammarico di non essere riuscita a farla. Finalmente oggi ho potuto ammirare questo capolavoro che tutto il mondo ci invidia, splendida mente descritta , dalla simpatica guida Francesca, che con competenza e passione ci ha fornito anche le notizie storiche e i dettagli delle altre opere che fanno da cornice. Insomma Napoli non delude mai per la meraviglia ed i contrasti.

La disposicion de la guia y su profesionalidad. Elegimos el tour en ingles porque no teniamos otra opcion, a pesar de que habia personas en el grupo que no lo entendiamos. Tuvo la deferencia de hacer el tour también en italiano para facilitarnos la comprensión. Muy agradecidos.

Veiled Christ

The Veiled Christ sculpted by Giuseppe Sanmartino in 1753, is the chapel’s centerpiece, which depicts Christ covered by a delicate veil that looks shockingly real. The guide will share fascinating details about its creation, intricate craftsmanship, and the myths surrounding its lifelike appearance.

Sansevero Chapel

The Sansevero Chapel is a showcase of Rococo art and symbolism. Apart from the Veiled Christ, you’ll see other remarkable sculptures like Modesty and Disillusion. The tour also includes a look at the Anatomical Machines—two preserved skeletons with detailed circulatory systems located in an underground chamber accessible via a narrow and steep staircase. As you explore, your guide will reveal the stories of Prince Raimondo di Sangro of Sansevero, the visionary behind this extraordinary place.

What’s not allowed

Food and drinks are not allowed inside the chapel.

Photography, videography, and camera equipment are strictly prohibited inside the chapel.

Accessibility

The tour is not wheelchair accessible or stroller-friendly.

The chapel is not fully wheelchair accessible. A narrow spiral staircase leading to a room comprising the anatomical models is not ideal for the disabled.

Additional notes

Pets, with the exception of service animals, are not allowed inside the chapel.

There is no formal dress code but we recommend wearing modest clothes since the attraction, besides being a museum, is also a place of worship.
