Unsere privat gebuchte Kleingruppentour durch die Vatikanischen Museen war von Anfang bis Ende absolut grandios! Bereits die Website war hervorragend gestaltet – übersichtlich, informativ und mit allen wichtigen Details versehen. Die Tour selbst hat unsere Erwartungen sogar übertroffen. Unser Guide waren unglaublich kompetent, engagiert und mit spürbarer Leidenschaft bei der Sache. Durch die kleine Gruppengröße entstand eine sehr persönliche Atmosphäre, in der jederzeit auf individuelle Wünsche und Fragen eingegangen wurde. Genau das machte die Führung so besonders und exklusiv. Auch die Länge der Tour war perfekt gewählt – ausführlich aber niemals anstrengend. Wir konnten die beeindruckenden Kunstwerke, die Geschichte und die besonderen Details der Vatikanischen Museen erleben und haben unglaublich viel gelernt. Eine absolut hochwertige, individuelle und unvergessliche Erfahrung, die wir jedem Rom-Besucher nur empfehlen können. Vielen Dank für diese fantastische Tour!

This is a must-see in Rome. The Vatican & Sistine Chapel is stunning, filled w Michelangelo & Rafael's captivating paintings. Our tour guide was very knowledgable, unfortunately I forgot her name. A tour is highly recommended so you can really understand the art, the history of the Vatican & the reasoning behind certain choices made by the Pope & the artists. It gave me even more of an appreciation for the time & effort put into this beautiful site. The gardens are also worth visiting.

We had Julio as a tour guide and he was awesome. It's very crowded (obviously) inside the museums but it's one of those experiences you need to do at least once in my opinion. Very easy to pick up our tickets for the tour, we only reserved two days before while other companies were all sold out and the group number wasn't too much. We'd highly recommend doing this one, but also try to book ahead of time so you're not scrambling like we were.

The tour guide was great. He knew so much, was funny, and ensured we were seeing the important sights at moments when it was less crowded. With only 2 hours there is no way to see everything in the museum, it is overwhelming how much stuff they have collected, that would take 2 days. Overall, there is no way to go thru the Vatican museum without a guide. Too much to see and too much to miss.

Last minute booking as we had neglected to get tickets ahead of time for Vatican museum. Our guide Alex was very knowledgeable and imparted a ton of information about everything inside the Vatican museum. The pacing was great with alot of opportunities for photos. Our guide, Nadia, was excellent. She was extremely knowledgable about the Vatican and was very personable and humorous. She did a great job of letting us lag behind a bit to get a picture of read a plaque while also keeping the group together on a very crowded day.

I didn't have to wait at all and super easy to find my group. No hassle and made it super relaxing. Only thing i didn't enjoy was that it felt slightly rushed and wish we could've taken our time more.

We had the skip the line arrangements followed by a guided tour, both of which were well worth paying for. There is so much to see, having a knowledgeable guide was wonderful. Definitely recommend.

It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes as the tour involves a fair amount of walking

What's not allowed

Strict dress code: knees, shoulders, and back must be covered for all guests.

Big bags and suitcases aren't allowed inside the attraction, but guests can make use of the lockers on site.

When in Sistine Chapel, silence is mandatory and photography is prohibited. Guides will provide all necessary and interesting details before entry.

Photography and the use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited in the Sistine Chapel.

Power banks are strictly prohibited inside the venue.

Pets and other small animals are not allowed in the venue, with the exception of guide dogs.

Accessibility

This experience is not accessible by wheelchair and pram/strollers.

While the tour is not accessible, the Vatican Museums offer free tickets for visitors with mobility impairments (certified invalidity exceeding 74%) and a companion.

Additional information

Please note: All guests must pass through airport-style security. During high season and peak hours, the wait time at the security check may be up to 30 minutes.

Purchasing this tour implies an agreement to stick with the assigned guide, without whom you cannot access the Vatican Museums. Opting out or missing the tour means losing ticket rights, without refunds.

Please be aware that during the Jubilee Year, certain areas of the Vatican Museums may be inaccessible due to religious ceremonies. Additionally, entrance to St. Peter's Basilica may also experience unannounced closures.

The Vatican Museums reserve the right to close any section, including the Sistine Chapel, due to unforeseen circumstances. The closure of any museum section does not entitle visitors to any refund.

Note: Michelangelo’s Last Judgement will undergo maintenance until March 2026. While the Sistine Chapel remains open, views of the fresco may be partially obstructed by the scaffolding.
