We had a fantastic guidertour at Pompeii. A special thanks goes to our guide, Mr. Igor, who made the tour both engaging and informative. His knowledge of Pompeii’s history was impressive, and he had a great way of explaining things so that even our son(13yrs) could easily follow and stay interested. He brought the ancient city to life with fascinating stories, details, and insights that we would have completely missed on our own. Mr. Igor was also very friendly, patient, and attentive, making sure everyone in the group was comfortable and involved. The pace of the tour was perfect—not rushed, but still covering all the key highlights. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience for all three of us. We highly recommend this guided tour, especially with Mr. Igor, to anyone visiting Pompeii

I had an amazing experience visiting Pompeii with Headout! The entry process was smooth and hassle-free, which made the start of the trip very enjoyable. Exploring Pompeii was absolutely fascinating — walking through the ancient streets and seeing the preserved ruins felt like stepping back in time. Personale informato e disponibile, area ben organizzata ma devo registrare alcuni punti in cui ho trovato la pulizia non puntuale .Non ho visto personale di servizio girare per le direttrici di passaggio e in alcune situazioni ho trovato carte e residui di cibo dentro dei resti di colonne e a terra (l'incivilta' non migliora).

Paseas por un pueblo. No se ven las ruinas desde arriba como en otras ocasiones sino que verdaderamente entras en sus casas y patios, ves sus fuentes, ves sus mosaicos, sus inscripciones y frescos... de hecho entras hasta en sus bares! Está guay, lo recomiendo :)

We went to Pompei and had a tour guide named Lucia. It was her first tour on a first day in a new job. Despite few minor dificulties she was holding on like a lionese. Cudos to her. The tour was nice, informative and all together pleasant. Would recomend.

Ging sehr schnell und unkompliziert; es ist auch kein Problem, dass das Ticket Office 15 Minuten von den Shuttlebussen entfernt ist - es ist direkt beim Eingang; der Ausgang dann bei den Shuttlebussen. Ergibt also eine runde Tour durch Pompej

Hubo que caminar más de lo esperado desde la estación del tren hasta el punto de encuentro y nadie nos había avisado de que esto era así. Además, tuvimos que abandonar la visita antes de lo previsto para devolver la audioguía. No volvería a reservar audioguía para poder estar más tiempo y salir por una entrada diferente, más cerca de la estación y con menos estrés.

Je n'ai pas rencontré de difficultés sur place. La jeune femme m'a échangé les billets sans problème et était très sympathique. Par contre, j'ai payé un supplément pour la villa du mystère et j'ai appris que ma fille de 24 ans, citoyenne européenne aurait dû payer 2 euros pour Pompéi alors qu'elle a payé 20 euros Je trouve cela très dommage

What to bring

Carry your earphones for an immersive audio guide experience. If you are given a physical audio guide, ensure you arrive prepared with wired earphones (3.5mm jack).

A moderate amount of walking is involved in this activity. Please wear comfortable shoes due to uneven terrain.

Full names are mandatory for Pompeii bookings. Double-check the names at checkout for a hassle-free entry. Be sure to bring a valid Photo ID with you to gain entry.

What's not allowed

Strict dress code: No discourteous clothing or shirtless attire is allowed inside Pompeii Archaeological Park.

Big dogs (above the weight 10kg and the height of 40cm) are not allowed into the venue. Guide dogs with the proper certification are welcome.

Accessibility

Pompeii has uneven ground and limited wheelchair access. Use the south-side entrances instead of the main one.

Choose safety and comfort: This experience is not the best fit for people with impaired mobility and cardiac issues.

Tickets to the ruins are free of charge for disabled people and a companion, to be purchased directly on-site.

Additional information

Whether you will be allotted a digital pr physical audio guide will be communicated at the time of booking. You can decide what kind of earphones to bring accordingly.

If you're handed a physical audio guide, you must leave a personal document like a passport as security at the supplier's office before collecting the guide. After your tour, you must drop off the headsets and your document will be returned to you.

Facilities: cloakroom, luggage storage. Head to the Superiore Entrance to make use of the onsite luggage facilities.

The fee for the excavation sites of Pompeii is free for all first Sundays of the month.

Children under 18 enjoy free entry with a valid ID.

If you’re an EU citizen aged 18-24, you can avail the ticket at €2.

The same discount applies if you’re a non-EU citizen with a valid Italian residence permit (for study, work, family reasons, etc., as recognized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
