We really enjoyed the entire tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and shared Latin words connecting the things we saw. The guide, Antonio, was a native of Pompei and he was clearly passionate about what he shared. He took us to areas that had less people observing where the other tours were going. He showed us parts of everyday life reiterating what we saw as if we were all Pompeians! He was humorous and kept everyone engaged including children. He went a little longer because he wanted to show us what was currently being excavated. We had a fun and interesting afternoon. Antonio is excellent! The organizing of the tour group by the Askos representatives was well organized and friendly. We have done numerous tours now with Headout with great success and highly recommend them. Thank you!

Vom Kauf der Tickets bis zur Abholung hat alles perfekt geklappt. Pompeii wie soll man es beschreiben? Groß - nein riesig, beeindruckend, bedrückend angesichts der Schicksale! Man muss es gesehen haben auf sich wirken lassen, sich die Zeit nehmen es wirken zu lassen. Einen Mango würde ich trotzdem gerne ansprechen. Uns wurde ein Shuttle empfohlen in Zusammenhang mit dem Villenviertel, die junge Dame hat dabei sogar das Viertel am Plan markiert. Aber den besucht man zu Fuß, das hat uns dann etwas stutzig gemacht. Zurück am Stellplatz haben wir dann recherchiert um festzustellen das das Shuttle zur außerhalb gelegenen Villa Regina in Boscoreale gefahren wäre. Das war wohl nichts das würde nicht kommuniziert, schade!

Gostei da organização e da delicadeza em me esperar depois que eu tive um atraso causado por um cancelamento de UBER. A visita foi bem conduzida e houve muitas explicações exemplificativas sobre o cotidiano dos habitantes da cidade à época em que sobreveio a tragédia; é uma experiência de imersão que todos que tiverem oportunidade devem fazer 1x na vida. O local onde o parque está inserido proporciona paisagens inesquecíveis e um sentimento de reverência pela natureza, força capaz de promover mudanças dramáticas no espaço de apenas alguns dias.

Great experience. Our guide, Sergio, was very knowledgeable about the history of the ruins. Spoke clearly through our headsets. Took us to a variety of different places and allowed us enough time to look . When we went off on our own , we then had the knowledge to understand what we were seeing in a different setting. Would recommend taking the tour- we spoke to a couple at lunch who were following an app and said that they couldn't hear it properly. Worth every penny - amazing experience.

Quick email with our tickets and delivery of actual tickets in Whatsapp thus not having to check-in with the white kiosk. Having tickets ahead of time avoids lines to buy tickets. We walked right in and they scanned our phones. Easy to add audio guide for additional nominal charge. Actually provided written guides for other locations and tourist sites. Je krijgt goede info van Head out , het was wel zoeken in het begin waar we terecht konden met onze tickets . we konden niet dadelijk van uit de trein samen met de andere gasten het domein op , we moesten nog 1,5 km wandelen naar een soort van Tourist office om daar dan onze finale tickets te krijgen (we hadden eerst al aangeschoven met onze head out tickets in de reguliere wachtrij) . Beter dan de audiogids is ter plaatse in deze winkel een papieren gids te kopen die je een route maakt op basis van de tijd die je hebt , kost 10 € en kan in het Nederlands . want met de audio gids leidt je niet rond , als je aan een bepaald nummer komt moet je het opzoeken en luisteren ( in NL kan niet ) Zelf hadden we de route van 2 uur genomen, als je dat doet dan mis je wel de bekende lichamen die je verwacht te zien , kijk dus eerst even op de kaart waar je deze kan zien en voeg dit dan toe aan je route. al bij al wel een positieve ervaring, in het begin wel wat zoeken ( maar staat in feite wel aangegeven in je reseverings info )

Mit den Online-Tickets um 09.00 h an der Warteschlange vorbei, gelangten wir vor dem grossen Ansturm wunderbar aufs Gelände. Der Rundgang ohne Führung in unserem Tempo durch die Anlage hat uns sehr beeindruckt! Wir staunten über die hochentwickelte Bauweise der Römer und die Lebensart, wie sie zur Zeit um 79 n. Chr. wohl stattgefunden hat. Wir bekamen eine Ahnung davon, was die Katastrophe rund um den Vesuv-Ausbruch für die dort lebenden Menschen damals wohl bedeutete und waren fasziniert, wie die Asche das Ganze wie in einer Zeitkapsel für die Nachwelt konserviert hat!

What to bring

Carry your earphones for an immersive audio guide experience. If you are given a physical audio guide, ensure you arrive prepared with wired earphones (3.5mm jack).

A moderate amount of walking is involved in this activity. Please wear comfortable shoes due to uneven terrain.

What's not allowed

Strict dress code: No discourteous clothing or shirtless attire is allowed inside Pompeii Archaeological Park.

Big dogs (above the weight 10kg and the height of 40cm) are not allowed into the venue. Guide dogs with the proper certification are welcome.

Accessibility

Pompeii has uneven ground and limited wheelchair access. Use the south-side entrances instead of the main one.

Choose safety and comfort: This experience is not the best fit for people with impaired mobility and cardiac issues.

Tickets to the ruins are free of charge for disabled people and a companion, to be purchased directly on-site.

Additional information

Facilities: cloakroom, luggage storage. Head to the Superiore Entrance to make use of the onsite luggage facilities.

The fee for the excavation sites of Pompeii is free for all first Sundays of the month.

Children under 18 enjoy free entry with a valid ID.

If you’re an EU citizen aged 18-24, you can avail the ticket at €2.

The same discount applies if you’re a non-EU citizen with a valid Italian residence permit (for study, work, family reasons, etc., as recognized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
