Ho visitato il Parco Archeologico di Pompei e devo dire che è stata un'emozione indescrivibile. Non mi aspettavo una città così immensa e ben conservata, sembra davvero di fare un salto indietro nel tempo di 2000 anni. Camminare per le strade originali, entrare nelle case, nelle terme e nel Foro è qualcosa che ti lascia senza parole. Si percepisce la vita quotidiana dei romani in ogni dettaglio, dagli affreschi ai mosaici fino alle scritte sui muri. Il sito è enormemente grande, quindi consiglio scarpe comode e almeno 4-5 ore di tempo. Ho trovato tutto molto ben organizzato, con mappe chiare e personale gentilissimo e disponibile. Il momento più toccante è stato vedere i calchi delle vittime e l'Anfiteatro. Un'esperienza che consiglio a tutti, italiani e stranieri, almeno una volta nella vita. Un patrimonio unico al mondo. Tornerò sicuramente per vedere le nuove domus appena riaperte!

Pompéi c'est vraiment une expérience incroyable à faire. Je conseille d'y aller tôt pour éviter la foule et la chaleur. Beaucoup de gens pensent qu'il faut prendre une visite guidée alors que pas du tout. Je trouve plus sympa de se renseigner avant et de cible les lieux qu'on veut voir puis écouter leur histoire avec l'audioguide. Le fait de se déplacer sur le site en cherchant soit même sur le plan rend l'aventure plus sympa. Flâner dans les ruines c'est vraiment magique. Évitez les groupes avec des visites guidées. Prenez votre propre chemin.

Well organised, professional - efficient - knowledgable - personable & friendly. Great welcoming team at the entrance; splitting into groups smoothly and effectively at the gate. Very well organised, meeting point was in the shade [for our time of visit] which was really appreciated. Got great information from our guide and advice of what to see after the tour ended - as we could stay inside after the tour. He took time to answer questions and relate to guests, and keeping us all in the shade as far as possible. Thoroughly recommend.....

Nous avons pu accéder au site rapidement sans avoir besoin de faire la queue et même une demi-heure à l'avance. Le site est très grand et nous avons marché 5 heures. Nous avions par endroits une vue imprenable sur le Vésuve et nous avons pu admirer de jolies fresques encore visibles sur certains murs. Le musée est également intéressant car il expose des objets et statues découverts sur le site. Nous y sommes allés à la fin, il n'est pas très grand et on peut le visiter en une demi-heure.

Una esperienza indimenticabile sia per noi che per nostro figlio. Il caldo è stato mitigato da una dolce brezza e dalle fontane disposte in Via dell'Abbondanza. Una singola vista non è abbastanza: ci ritorneremo volentieri!

Un moment fort en émotion. Un site immense, un personel aimable. Un petit peu moin de sympathie dans le personnel du restaurant qui fasse au nombre de clients parle vite froidement au client sans décrocher de sourire.

Nach 42 Jahren wieder in Pompeji. Vieles hat sich getan. Die Ruinen wurden und werden weiter restauriert. Am sehr heissen Sommertag haben wir uns auf dem Rooftop-Restaurant entspannen können.

What to bring

Carry your earphones for an immersive audio guide experience. If you are given a physical audio guide, ensure you arrive prepared with wired earphones (3.5mm jack).

A moderate amount of walking is involved in this activity. Please wear comfortable shoes due to uneven terrain.

Full names are mandatory for Pompeii bookings. Double-check the names at checkout for a hassle-free entry. Be sure to bring a valid Photo ID with you to gain entry.

What's not allowed

Strict dress code: No discourteous clothing or shirtless attire is allowed inside Pompeii Archaeological Park.

Big dogs (above the weight 10kg and the height of 40cm) are not allowed into the venue. Guide dogs with the proper certification are welcome.

Accessibility

Pompeii has uneven ground and limited wheelchair access. Use the south-side entrances instead of the main one.

Choose safety and comfort: This experience is not the best fit for people with impaired mobility and cardiac issues.

Tickets to the ruins are free of charge for disabled people and a companion, to be purchased directly on-site.

Additional information

Facilities: cloakroom, luggage storage. Head to the Superiore Entrance to make use of the onsite luggage facilities.

The fee for the excavation sites of Pompeii is free for all first Sundays of the month.

Children under 18 enjoy free entry with a valid ID.

If you’re an EU citizen aged 18-24, you can avail the ticket at €2.

The same discount applies if you’re a non-EU citizen with a valid Italian residence permit (for study, work, family reasons, etc., as recognized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
