Los baños Széchenyi en Budapest son una experiencia que sí o sí tienes que vivir al menos una vez. El lugar es impresionante, con una arquitectura brutal y unas piscinas termales al aire libre que son una pasada, sobre todo en invierno. El ambiente es muy top: puedes relajarte en aguas calientes mientras ves a gente jugando al ajedrez o simplemente disfrutando del momento. Es un plan perfecto para desconectar un par de horas. Eso sí, también hay que decirlo claro: suele estar bastante lleno y a veces se siente un poco masificado, sobre todo si vas a horas centrales del día. Aun así, hay muchas piscinas y espacios para moverte. En general, es una experiencia muy recomendable: no es el sitio más tranquilo del mundo, pero sí uno de los más icónicos y especiales de Budapest. Si puedes, ve temprano o al atardecer para disfrutarlo mejor.

“I had an amazing time at both Sparty and Széchenyi Baths. Széchenyi Baths were absolutely beautiful, with stunning architecture, relaxing thermal pools, and a really unique atmosphere that made the whole experience feel special. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy one of Budapest’s most famous attractions. Sparty was a completely different vibe, but just as unforgettable — energetic, fun, and unlike anything I’ve experienced before. The music, lights, and overall atmosphere were incredible, and it was such a fun way to enjoy the baths at night. I really enjoyed both experiences and would highly recommend them to anyone visiting Budapest, whether you’re looking to relax, have fun, or both.

Las dos experiencias fueron impresionantes. El balneario fue muy relajante sobre todo cuando contratas piscinas frías con caliente y además saunas. Nosotros aprovechamos un día en que salió el sol y estuvimos muy a gusto fuera y dentro hay que aprovechar al máximo también. Aconsejo estar al menos cuatro horas para visitar todas las instalaciones. En cuanto al crucero estuvo bastante más edificado y con muchos niños. Nosotros corrimos el horario 19: 30 h. Por esta sencilla razón aconsejó que sea más tarde a las 9 estaría muy bien para que haya menos gente y menos niños. Las vistas son espectaculares.

It was super easy with the clear instructions and bookings. We literally had to just reach the place on time and rest was all taken care of. The thermal baths will be remembered experience for long especially the hot and cold combination. Aroma and salt based sauna experience was thrilling. The boat ride was simply amazing as we got to know so much about Budapest and Hungary history. Also we saw the sunset and the lighting of various important monuments. We will remember this forever and will try to come back and book via you guys only.

Very safe and clean environment. The " cabin" was well worth the expense. Staff welcoming and professional. Huge spectrum of international customers and all well behaved. We arrived by Bolt taxi but on leaving walked 800 metres through a Park to Heroes' Square and No: 9 stop for the Red line Hop on and Hop Off Bus. Highly trecommend. Also the Terracotta Warriors Exhibition at The Fine Arts museum by Heroes' Square well worth a visit. Sadly due to Brexit UK passport Ho;ders charged and EU citizens of a certain age exempt.

Un lugar muy hermoso, accesible el precio de su entrada, así como también precios en buffet. Piscinas amplias, y limpias, sanitarios y vestidores impecables. El personal atento y cordial, no se hablar inglés, y me maneje con el traductor, no conocía el sistema de este tipo de balnearios, y ellos se esforzaron en entenderme e incluso guiarme hasta los lookers enseñándome su uso. Fui con dos amigas y lo pasamos expendido. Gracias!!

Une expérience magique à Budapest! Le combo croisière de nuit et thermes est parfait. Nous n'avons pas fait les 2 le même jour ce qui nous a permis d'avoir du temps! La croisière avec l'audioguide facile à télécharger était superbe. Les thermes sont un lieu incontournable de Budapest. Pour pouvoir vraiment profiter il faut y aller le matin tôt! Sinon il y a beaucoup de Monde! Ne pas rater les locaux qui jouent aux échecs dans la piscine!

La visite du parlement était super et très bien organisée pour la remise des billets C'est vraiment grandiose à l'intérieur Pour les thermes je conseille de prendre les cabines privatives pour être à l'aise pour se changer et sécuriser ses affaires Le cadre est incroyable Il est difficile de sortir de l'eau une fois dedans 😍

What to expect

Opened in 1913, Széchenyi Spa is Europe's largest thermal bath complex, famed for its Neo-baroque architecture and healing mineral waters sourced from natural hot springs.

3 outdoor pools: Relax in the thermal pool, swim laps in the swimming pool, or enjoy the experience pool with jets and massaging water features.

15 indoor pools: Choose from pools of varying temperatures, designed to help with relaxation and wellness.

Sauna & steam rooms: Access multiple saunas and steam cabins to detox and enhance your wellness experience.

Locker or private cabin: Store your belongings securely in a locker or opt for a private changing cabin for additional comfort.

Want to save time and avoid entrance crowds during the rush hours? Opt for fast-track entry, available in morning or afternoon time slots, to skip the main queue and gain direct entry to the spa.

What to bring

Bring along your swimsuit, towel, slippers, and a swimming cap for the experience.

It is mandatory to wear slippers throughout the spa area. Swimming caps are required in swimming pools but not in thermal baths.

What's not allowed

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

This experience is restricted to guests under the age of 14 years.

Accessibility

This experience is not wheelchair or pram/stroller accessible.

Additional Information

Due to scheduled maintenance, the swimming pool will be closed from April 20 to May 17, 2026.

Renovation work will take place at the entrance stairs from Állatkerti Street between May 4 and July 12, 2026.

The swimming pool side locker room area will be under renovation and converted into a coed locker room between July 29 and August 6, 2026.

The staircase sunbathing area will undergo renovation from August 31 to October 11, 2026.

The women’s thermal section will be closed for renovation from December 7, 2026, through November 2027.

The pools and surrounding areas must be vacated 20 minutes before closing.

Last entry is permitted up to one hour before closing time.

If you select the fast-track entry ticket, make sure to enter the spa before 11am or after 3pm for guaranteed immediate entry.

Your ticket allows one-time entry only and cannot be reused for re-entry.

Your voucher will be emailed to you shortly.

Display the voucher on your mobile phone with a valid photo ID at the starting point.
