Tout is St. Stephen's Basilica with a live tour guide in the morning. Viviene was great. Learned a lot about the Basilica and Hungarian history. Then in the afternoon a tour of the Parliament building. Tickets allowed us to walk right in at our appointed time. 5% off for booking both together. A great bargain.

Great communication following booking regarding meeting points etc. Both venues are stunningly beautiful and full of the history of budapest and Hungary. The Parliament tour is audio guided and takes around 45mins with plenty of opportunity to take pics. We also saw the changing of the guard which occurs each hour. The tour of St Stephens basilica was provided by a very knowledgeable local and we were even lucky enough to hear the organ playing as part of practice for a concert. The view at the top of st Stephens basilica is incredible, although not for the faint hearted if you don't like heights. There are lifts up & down, but to reach the top view there are stairs. Overall, this is a must do experience if visiting budapest

Your tour begins with meeting your guide in front of the St. Stephen’s Basilica ticket office. With priority entry, skip the lines and step inside this neoclassical masterpiece. Along the way, your guide will share the fascinating history of this revered landmark, from its architectural grandeur to its deep significance in Hungarian culture.

Depending on your ticket, take an elevator to the panoramic terrace on your own (standard options) or with a guide (private tour) to enjoy breathtaking 360° views of Budapest, where you can see landmarks like the Danube River, Parliament, and Buda Castle. Next, venture into the treasury and historical exhibition, home to centuries-old religious treasures, royal liturgical objects, sacred relics, and revered artifacts such as the mummified right hand of St. Stephen.

Wear appropriate attire for a church—no sleeveless tops, short skirts, or shorts; men must uncover their heads.

This experience is not suitable for wheelchair users due to accessibility limitations.

Additional information

On Saturdays, the church may close temporarily for 30 to 60 minutes due to wedding ceremonies.

If the church area is closed for a special ceremony, you can start your visit with the terrace and treasury, then return to the church once it reopens.

You can take one of the two elevators to reach the terrace or climb 160 steps if the elevator has long queues.
